That Iowa-Iowa State game was super fun and a tactical chess match. Miles Simon is a fantastic color commentator. I can’t remember watching one of his games. He was correctly calling out everything happening in real time and adding insightful analysis on top of it.

I think much of Michigan’s Vegas dominance has come from its ability to control turnovers — 17.2% vs. SDSU, 12.7% vs. Auburn. Low turnovers = being able to set your defense. Michigan’s half court defense is elite. Setting your defense = more stops. More stops = you can run in transition.

That was an *unbelievable* basketball game with ridiculous shotmaking, adjustments, attacking the opposing team’s 5-men relentlessly (KAT and Porzingis/Kornet), and for it to end with that Tatum injury is so terrible. Really hoping it isn’t as bad as it looked.

On the final possession, the Celtics ran the exact same play that created a Tatum dunk 10 seconds prior. On the second play, Knicks were more physical with Horford screening and Mitchell Robinson was able to contain the drive. Add in some amazing help defense from Bridges & OG.

I haven’t seen nearly enough coverage about how unbelievable Draymond has been defensively these playoffs. He had 4-5 savant-level plays just last night in Game 7.

Underrated big part of that Pistons game was the Knicks were hedging & going under when Detroit used Brunson’s man to screen for Cade Cunningham had 5-6 walk-in threes off the dribble. Missed them all. Then he got spooked and wasn’t even looking for that shot Hurt Detroit’s half court O in the 4th

KAT’s pick & roll defense is so bad. Detroit should put him in the action and make him defend in space every half court possession they can.
