Been enjoying Blue Protocol a LOT! I somehow ended up leading a guild with max members on day 1. This was entirely unexpected, but it's fun. I haven't done that in awhile. And my character is adorable, too!

Remember plasma TVs? I just did. I can't think of a display technology that went obsolete faster than that, to be honest.

Can't wait to get all these parts in for a tiny PC I'm building for my living room. I'm even gonna try and 3D print my own case to get it as small as possible. 👀

This is still gonna have to be Resident Evil VII for me, unfortunately. I had gotten to the final section of the game, but I needed to take a break. I got too spooked. And then I never went back to finish it... I've since learned that's a heavily disliked part of the game, anyway.

Okay, I like FF Tactics, but here's the thing (bracing myself): The progression is totally broken, and random difficulty spikes end up encouraging you to exploit it heavily. Hitting your own teammates is the most optimal way to grind, and that's poor design imo. Great game otherwise.

I miss the 360 era of Xbox. While those franchises might not appeal to me as much as they did when I was a typical teen in the early 2010's, the platform was undeniably great. $1 Indie games made by a few people, Arcade for the broader scope indie titles, tons of good 1st/3rd party games.

I was like "damn, FF Tactics is hard" until I realized you could just grind and it's not all that bad lol I like it so far, and I can see the complex plot it's building up to taking shape. Really excited to see where it goes.

Finished 1st Chapter and have just about an hour left of playing NG+ to get the platinum. All I gotta say is, they did it again. Even knowing what was going to happen, my wife and I both cried a river at the end. This is definitely the objective best place to start Trails. It's fantastic.

Reached the final chapter in Trails 1st. Will definitely be finishing up the platinum in the next couple of days. I can confidently say that yes, this is probably the most perfect remake we've gotten. It remains faithful to the original, but doesn't just rely on nostalgia to carry it. So damn good.

All the PS5 Yakuza re-releases will have separate trophy lists from the original games. Do I go down this path again? Reliving the climax battles and weapon material grind??? Probably. No matter what these games ask me to do, I will. I learned Mahjong for these games and I'd do it again.

I like that Falcom remixed most tracks in the game, except for Silver Will. It didn't need to be touched.

...I missed a single chest in a previous chapter. So much for that single playthrough platinum trophy... Falcom, it's cool to be faithful and all, but we really don't need to be THAT faithful. Ffs... Thought we moved past that.

Exhausted after work today. We're being moved temporarily while construction happens in the building. My coworker wants me to bring in my Switch to hook up on the 98" conference room TV in our temp office, but bro - WHEN do we have the time!? As fun as that sounds...

Got to Chapter 2 in 1st Chapter! Wish I had gotten more time with it this weekend, but I'm making good progress regardless! It's still just so perfect. I can't imagine that sentiment is changing this far into the game. That new side quest was also great to see!

Trails 1st has been everything I wanted and more so far. Falcom really put everything they had into this! Every area is so faithfully recreated and expanded upon. The towns and roads look exactly the way you'd expect, but feel so fresh with the newer game's combat and QoL. I can't stop gushing.

Peak has finally arrived in the mail! Gonna be playing Trails first (heh) of course, but I'm really looking forward to playing Towa a bit later. It looks beautiful.

Instead of Trails today, I tried out the new Skate. Mainly because it's a game for crackheads. The fastest ways to get around are by rolling like Sonic (not using your skateboard), and t-posing before launching yourself into the air. It's so damn goofy and fun. I also went into low orbit.

I really don't believe them when they say they will make a next generation console. It isn't feasible if prices will be comparable to what we're at right now. I don't want Xbox to die, but they aren't helping themselves either.

Got around to scanning my collection into Gameye! Trails games have definitely gotten crazy in terms of pricing. I can only imagine what 1st Chapter is about to cause. 😅

What's a series you haven't played that you think you'd love? Gonna have to be honest and say I've hardly played Dragon Quest. Builders 1 and a little bit of X only. But I've loved both and NEED to play more.

Hearing The Whereabouts of Light makes me want to cry every time. I can't wait to find my emotions again in 1st Chapter.
