Btw- I'm doing very well right now. Just idly lamenting! I'm always learning how to live with my brain and work with it. Working with it means being online and connected less than I feel an ostensible artist and streamer should be. I just wish my brain worked differently. I always wish that!

I wish social media wasn't so terrible for my mental health. I know that's true for a lot of people but my OCD, BDD and other stuff make it even worse. It's measurable in how it's ruined hours and days of my life. Wish I could be more engaged and keep up with stuff better without it wrecking me.

My four year old Mario-obsessed nephew this morning surprised me. He was showing me "Hello Mario!" and after he was done I pivoted to NSO to show him the Super Mario 64 title screen. Not only had he played it but he proceeded to tour me around the castle and LOSE to Koopa the Quick. Nearly cried.

On the contrary, younger people getting into stuff from before their time, things that have been far outpaced by modern technology, graphics or convenience (and not just video games, but yes, video games) - that's my bastion of hope against how much of today's content is treated as disposable.

In Donkey Kong 64, the Giant Spider miniboss can only be fought once. Modifying the game to fight it a second time makes it unceremoniously explode. While this appears to be a glitch, examining the code reveals it was actually deliberately added for the developers' own amusement.

Holy shit, acknowledging Barrel Blast specifically? It's an interesting way to get around the "Which Tiny design" debacle. Looks like we are getting Big Tiny, much to my (predictable) sadness, but I do like Wrinkly as a ghost so it balances out. I wonder if the racing apparatus will be included.
