I saw something one evening this week I can't explain. It flew over the road, over the car and off into the distance. It looked like nothing I've ever seen before. My friend saw it too, and we spent the next few minutes shouting "WTF was that?!" I'm sure there's a sensible explanation... 🛸

Finally ordered some more storage for the man cave. Planned where it would go, measured everything up and hit buy. Now I've realised that the presence sensor will have to be moved, and the other unit will completely block my access to the side of the TV where all the cables plug in!

Re-watched Caprica recently. Such a crying shame that didn't get a second season. Then I had to re-watch Blood & Chrome. Now I have to re-watch all of Battlestar Galactica! Love it!

Went to the Retro Computer Festival @computinghistory.org.uk today. What a great bunch of people and an awesome array of retro computers. If you zoom in on this picture, you can just about make out my name on the high score for the floor is lava game on the Dragon computer. Won myself a badge!

Decided it would be fun to hook my #Atari 800XL up to my monitor last night. It wasn't! Got a picture, but no sound. So I hooked it up to my portable monitor instead. That worked. Then I spent ages trying to get a game to load from tape. Once loaded, it was rubbish! I love #retrogaming !

Kids screaming. Dogs barking. Seagulls screeching. Motorbikes roaring. There really is so much noise pollution these days. It's enough to send you round the twist. And the seagulls really do need to bugger off back to the sea. Clue's in the name you daft birds.

Sometimes when you smack a fly with one of those electronic swatters, the fly just disappears, and then reappears a few minutes later. I swear they get teleported elsewhere in the house.

Just wasted 2 hours of my time trying to put a cheap gazebo up I found in the shed. I've done a shocking job, and it's ripped to shreds, but it's staying there now until the weather destroys it! I'm probably also sunburnt to a cinder for good measure.

There appears to be an unwritten rule in our household. Nobody ever takes the last biscuit, or slice of bread, or piece of cake, or drop of milk, etc. So many things that go off in the end because nobody wants to take the blame for finishing them off.

Right! What am I doing wrong? The scart cable I bought from a reputable cable maker (who shall remain anonymous) wasn't great. I took it apart at the din plug end and a few wires just fell off. I've resoldered everything, but I'm not getting any blue colours! #retrogaming #amstrad #cpc464
