Woke up so sore. Was wondering why. Then remembered walked about 16,000 steps yesterday in heat and rain too. 😆 Most steps walked in a minute, so yeah makes sense.

I am using all next week to recover from the last few weeks of being busy. No matter how tempting it is to go outside, I will not. Only for my daily walks and to return library books.

But seeing Amore Perros again reminded me how beautifully bleak it is, with a glimmer of hope at end. Also far too many had never seen it before. The dramatic reactions were disrupting my experience 😂

I am technically a film nerd, but I always want to bully them. There is something inherently pretentious and obnoxious about them. Myself included.

I forgot summer is a big tourist season, and we’re basically in summer. Way too many people downtown today.

I agree you shouldn’t gate keep people creating art but all art shouldn’t be treated the same. That’s my stance.

He also said you can’t be an artist and bring down other artists. Now I get the sentiment but slightly disagree. Some people aren’t good at the art they create. They can get there, but have to be criticized and trained. I rather more good art, and less soulless art.

A writer said how he’s against competitive mfa programs. I felt seen. That how have to compete to write and be trained to write killed my motivation to write.

There was a crazy storm today, and I was out in it. Knocked out some stores. Barely got a drop on me. Sometimes got to just trust that you’ll be all right.

Everyone wants to be busy until they actually are. Then it’s torture.

I do hate when people get credit for my work. It has unfortunately happened too many times at this point.

Because I am diabetic, I have to monitor my sugars (obviously), so now when I have something extremely sugary, it’s so noticeable because my body is no longer used to the sugar. So much it’s a little too sugary.

So the event I couldn’t justify paying that one day price for, just got canceled. So there is a chance, the person I wanted to see will do a different concert here. So what’s that like the fifth concert I am trying to attend this year!? 😣 no tickets have been bought yet

There is something brutally psychically injurious to being constantly told "just do good work and you'll be successful" while watching people who do the most dogshit work possible do all the succeeding.

I think I look cute today but always ify when my boobs are a little prominent. This dress makes them prominent. So we shall see if I don’t panic and put on my sweater, despite ridiculously hot weather.

I got my wish. How am I supposed to go to all the concerts in September 😭. I still want to see Bruno too. Just probably in a closeish city, if I can find cheap tickets.

Why am I getting a bunch of press day invites recently. 😐. Got one today for a screening this Saturday at midnight. Tempted to go but realistically, I live too far to travel public transit at like 3am. I think buses also stop for a few hours too around that time. But appreciate all the invites.
