If there is one thing I see as a mission for me with my fellow blerds, it's to spread awareness that Panthro is Black, by design.

Looks like Mattel pays attention to social media after all. This MOTU #Panthro is much improved from the first promo shots!

The optional MotU armor parts are fun if a lil goofy but that's part of the appeal. Also check out the difference in size and aesthetic between this new Panthro and a smaller custom one made from the actual MotU Origins parts. The new Panthro is far more accurate to the ThunderCats style.

Most fans of Thundercats think of him as “The Black Thundercat”. They’re right. But not just because fans say so. He was Black-coded intentionally almost (but not quite) from the start. Here is his earliest known design:
