Last week we were in Hitchin, filming lots of content for our lovely client at Sankara Imports. It's always such a pleasure to work with them, and it was great to see their new shop (which is looking brilliant!). We're excited to be doing more edits for Sankara Imports in the coming months.

A Different Place truly is the film that keeps on giving! Thank you so much to the incredible Prano Bailey-Bond for placing our film in the top 10 of the CenterFrame Selects competition - and well done to everyone involved! The top five will be announced early next month, so fingers crossed!

For those of you who've followed along with our list of archive films - you're now fully up to date, as our most recent release was the BFI NETWORK-funded 'A Different Place'. This moving film, about the importance of accepting your truth, was made in collaboration with Cat On The Wall Productions.

Our film 'A Different Place' has made it onto the longlist for Centerframe Selects - a celebration of great recent short films. What's more, the list was compiled by none other than the incredible Prano Bailey-Bond!! We're delighted that she liked our work.

10 years ago yesterday, the team was hard at work making their entry into the Five Lamps Films 24hr Film Challenge. Our entry, 'The Dress' - which required an incredibly quick turnaround costume transformation - was shot and edited in under 12 hours and ultimately won second place!

And next up in our list of archive films is 'Good Grief', an emotional & important portrait of loss with a powerful message, made in association with Sirloin Films, Cat On The Wall Productions, and the brilliant charity Forever Stars.

We've just released another video from the archives of 'A Different Place', and this one is a bit of an anomaly! Back in early development, when the film was still known as 'Room 515', we planned on setting the film in the early 2000s, and even shot some promotional footage on a Hi-8 camcorder.

Next in our list of archive films - Lepidopterist (which we finished shooting on this day SIX YEARS ago! Wow). Originally shot & edited in under two days, the film was first released under the name 'FIFTY/FIFTY', and made as part of the SCI-FI-LONDON 48hr Film Challenge.

Loved working on this project with an exquisite team and playing the queen herself, Poison Ivy!

In all the excitement of A Different Place's online release, we got slightly off track with introducing our filmography to our new followers - so let's get back to it! After making Songbird, we teamed up with Flight Of Fancy Films to make a fan film about our favourite DC Character, Poison Ivy!

Today marks 3 years since the final day of the A Different Place shoot - so what better time to reveal more details about our online release? We're delighted to announce that the film will have its online premiere on Lesflicks - a streaming service dedicated to sapphic content - from 7th March.

Next up in the list of films from our archive: Songbird This modern-day fairytale, set in the world of indie music, featured a central performance & original songs from the wonderful singer-songwriter Janet Devlin (as well as supporting performances from 2 of our returning Stop/Eject cast members).

We did so well! I'm mega proud of A Different Place and the whole team who worked so hard on it. I'm looking forward to the online release and limited cinema run that's coming very soon.

When Night Owls was in post-production, we decided to enter our first ever filmmaking competition - so we shot and edited The Dress in less than 24 hours, ultimately winning second place in the Five Lamps Films 24hr Film Challenge (hosted by Derby Film Festival)!

Still one of my favourite films of ours, and I haven't given up on making the feature-length version!

After Stop/Eject, the next film we made was Night Owls - a tale of two lost souls who form an unlikely friendship, set over the course of a single rainy night. The film premiered at the BAFTA-qualifying London Short Film Festival before winning 17 awards at festivals around the world.

Around the same time as making Ashes, we also co-produced Stop/Eject - a magical and moving time-travel drama starring Georgina Sherrington (then best known for The Worst Witch). The film premiered at Raindance before being longlisted for Best British Short Film at the BAFTAs in 2015!

Following on from The Opening Night, our next film was Ashes - a hard-hitting but important film about SA in relationships. The film was offered distribution deals at Cannes film festival & also helped to raise money for victim support charities.

Over the next few posts, we'll be introducing our films to our new followers. Let's start (almost) at the beginning... The Opening Night - a story of first love & an ode to the theatre - was our first film to be accepted into festivals. DOP: Emmaalouise Smith. Written & directed by Sophie Black.
