A fun day with the family and the community at the Hal’s St. Paddy’s Parade! One of the largest of its kind in the country — right here in the heart of Jackson — the parade also brings major revenue to our local businesses and boosts our city’s economy. 🍀

Anderson United Methodist Church, the church I grew up in, always feels like home. It’s the place that reinforced my commitment to service and sacrifice for the greater good — and I’m committed to continuing the work of building a city that reflects those same values.

Heartbroken by the passing of my friend, Sylvester Turner — an extraordinary lawyer, professor, mayor, congressman, and servant of the people. Rest in power, sir. Thank you for your leadership, and my prayers are with your loved ones and your community.

Grateful for the opportunity to engage with fellow Jacksonians and other mayoral candidates at JSU! Our collective vision for the future of our city is strengthened by these important conversations — and the energy and commitment from our community inspire me daily.

Gun violence isn’t just a statistic — it shatters our families and our communities. Being mayor gave me the great privilege to stand with Keisha Coleman (of our Office of Violence Prevention and Trauma Recovery) to launch “100 Days of Action” to reclaim our neighborhoods.

Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you. Your lessons on service, sacrifice, and love aren’t just memories. They’re the blueprint I follow daily. I'll continue to honor your legacy by serving our community as you did, carrying your spirit forward. Miss you, buddy man.
