One of the nice things about dismantling the studio ( for moving ) is fishing things out that haven’t been used in a while and coming to them with fresh ears . The Korg Volca bass makes a surprisingly effective pattern generator for Reich/Glass type minimalist sequences. Time to hook up the 2nd one.

New Dust sounds has been thin on the ground throughout 2024 and into 2025, a bigger gap than the usual dry periods that have peppered my illustrious non-career. There’s a few foggy notions kicking around that might morph into finished pieces but in the meantime here’s another one from the vaults.

Gentle heads up - if you see a visually impaired person struggling ,worst thing you can do is take their arm and guide them . If you want to help (and it is appreciated) best thing is to politely offer your arm for them to use - forearm ideally. Pass it on , this might make someone’s day easier.

Geek post alert... I've been fighting the urge to get a Stylophone DS-2 so to help me combat that I've built an emulation in software, still got a ways to go but I've got the heart of the circuit and its sounds intriguing, still got to assign parameters to a hardware controller to gain immediacy.
