So the #DRW season is over, and I whipped up something quick and dirty from natural stat trick to get ahead of the argument of whether or not this team is worse than last year. I would argue that despite the worse result, and despite the flaws of the roster, the 2024-2025 wings were better 1/

Waited ten years for a 2C. The season of pain is worth it for the emergence of Marco Kasper. Not only is he being deployed to shut down the best of the best… he’s producing at a solid pace at only 21. #LGRW.

This is not the same red wings team. All season long they’ve been playing not to lose instead of playing to win. Afraid to take chances and make dynamic plays. Whether it’s Mclellan letting them off the leaf or just restoring some confidence the result is the same. Play f’n hockey.

The fix for the Red Wings is not complicated. It is patience. They need to stick to the rebuild plan. There are no quick fixes. Keep bringing in picks and prospects and acquiring players in the Seider, Raymond, Edvinsson age bracket. The window to be good is when these guys are age 25-30.
