🌱calmed down. HOA tasked me w/soliciting contract/bid from current mowing company. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to use the terms of Excellent landscaping co.—in my bid solicitation. Eg., “how much will your mowing co. charge to do all this?” And list what the Excellent landscaper will do. 🤓

🌱. Okay. So, as the “landscaping committee” I was invited to speak at the monthly HOA board meeting. I have an awesome contract in hand but the HOA wants to give the current mfers a chance to bid. I asked: “why isn’t this company proactively landscaping our property?” 1/2

🌱. I’m calling these the storm dahlia collection! The storm broke their stem so, I’ve brought them inside. I realize I need a frog to properly arrange them! And I’m not certain what this type is called! But each flower looks like a sunburst!

🌱. On a brighter note! One of the dahlias, which are all still thriving! As this is my 1st year with Dahlias, I had no idea what to expect! They are so hardy! But don’t last long in the vase! Beautiful flowers tho!

🌱 we’ve had heavy rains for the past 12 hours and look!! The wildlife guy is on his way to rehome this devil! I KNEW it was something bigger than a chipmunk making holes in the gardens!

🌱 OH! Mon Dieu!! So the nasty neighbor across the lane has low water pressure and called the City to fix. Which meant cutting down a 30’ crepe Myrtle. I went out this morning and begged mercy for the tree! (Always lawyering for the underdog). And it turns out they were able to leave half (1/3)

It feels like magic (even though I know it’s just science) but the more pond plants I put in the wildlife pond, the clearer the water got! And the more wildlife that’s interested in it. Damselflies, bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds are all now regular visitors to my flowerbed & wildlife pond. 🥹 🌱

🐶. Pup slept through the night and has eaten new food—for skin allergies and stomach troubles. It’s a salmon and rice kibble. He loves it and his mess has been perfect! I can’t believe how much he’s grown in the past 2 weeks! So much taller and longer! I feel like we’re back on track to training!

Tonite my husband isn’t working 7p to 7a. So, we decided it’s “snacks for dinner” night! We have fruits and hummus and crackers. Taco meat and all the fixings—we simply put it on chips—not shells. And then, we get mini Dairy Queen blizzards! My fave is Oreo cookie!

🐶. So, pup’s health progress has stalled and it’s back to 3 am wake ups! He doesn’t like his pup food (with or without probiotics) and today, really—only seems to want to eat my senior dog’s food; which, if I was a dog, I’d eat! It’s Purina Pro Plan weight mgmt, shredded chicken and rice. Advice?
