Crimson Peak, aside from fantastic set & ghost designs, was very mid. Even with watching it passively while I worked on game artwork, the story was largely mediocre, with a weak plot but also with some excellent ghost moments and amazing set design. in this case IMDB rating was right for me. 5.5/10

I finished Last of Us 2. I'm conflicted on whether I love or hate the story but seems like that was intended. That in this apocalyptic world, there's no such thing as a "happy ending* and that right and wrong is more subjective than ever. So in that case 9/10 story. But it's not what I wanted.=(

Rewatched Return of the Living Dead 3. The girls boyfriend is the same actor is the dickweed boyfriend in Pumpkinhead 2 which was funny to see him in these 2 movies made the same year RotLD 3 is way better all around. I enjoyed it a lot more this time around since my 1st and only watch in 1993

Weapons was pretty damn cool.

From Beyond was good. Great and gnarly vfx, a bit spicy, likeable characters, awesome lighting #nowwatching recently released, Weapons. Heard mixed reviews so I have my expectations tempered.

Pumpkinhead 2 was BAD. Good monster design but way too much blinding strobe flash lighting to mask the bad directing and other straight to video vfx. The acting was atrocious but some fun camp with it too Moving on to 1986's From Beyond Jeffrey Combs of Reanimator & many other cult horror classics

Made good progress in Last of Us Part 2. really liking Ellie's story but some of the new mechanics of the game are broken. Rope swing jumps specifically. They were launching Ellie backwards because I wasn't at the perfect height and angle. Honestly makes me want to quit the game sometimes.

I jumped right into Part 2 Remastered. Abby has GUUNNNS...and also has guns I am liking the change in focus and direction. Also seeing the story isn't played chronologically sounds really interesting. The dodge mechanic and ability to go prone are very nice additions to the gameplay
