I had to explain to my mom that Elon isn’t the VP. But she assures me that what’s he’s doing is perfectly legal because every president, esp. Obama, has done the exact same thing according to her local news station. Mind you this news station had an anchor that couldn’t do basic math 🙃

Went to work today despite feeling like poop. I had an important meeting I couldn’t miss because it was all about my students’ futures. I’m very happy with how it went. Now one more meeting tomorrow and then I can take off if I’m still sick 😅

My cough hasn’t gone away. Spent most of last night coughing instead of sleeping. But, I need to go into work because we have an important meeting this morning. So, here’s to being miserable 🥂

Why do Xtians feel compelled to adorn themselves in crosses and carry devotionals everywhere they go? Could you imagine if I were to wear an inverted pentagram or baphomet to work 🫣 Though I do have an urn I sometimes wear with “hail thyself” engraved on it but I never wear it to work.

Channeled some of my energy into decluttering. I now have a tidy printing station in the corner instead of the chaos it previously was 🤣

My kid has been saving her allowance for months now. She decided that she wanted to buy Ooblets with her own money today. It’s so cute watching her bounce around the house being so proud of herself for buying something she wanted with her own money.

I’m spending my Sunday doing laundry and purging my subscription accounts. I’m also going to figure out where the closest Costco is and if they deliver to me.

I did the paperwork to move my direct deposit to a credit union. My local bank kept allowing my account to overdraw on purchases I could not have made because they refuse to give me a new debit card. It’s been a frustrating battle. In Jan, they overdrew me by over $600. My credit union would never.

Ok. I’m officially sick and not lazy. As the day has progressed, I’ve developed a cough, congestion, and a stuffy but still somehow runny nose. This is in addition to the bone deep exhaustion and body aches…

I took today off of work because I was feeling off. Almost like I have absolutely not energy and my bones ache. I’m spending the day curled up on the couch playing Dreamlight Valley and am finding it very difficult to focus. I’m deeply tired and I don’t know why 🙃 Maybe sick? Maybe lazy?

Im a dweeb and I read webtoons. 2 webtoons I’m reading/read have featured the protagonist setting up a savings account that they deposit into whenever they’re upset at their bosses I might take this idea but adapt it for whenever I’m angry at the government 👀

I have written 527 words so far today. I would love to become one of those writers who writes thousands of words a day, but my brain doesn’t work like that. I thrive on short bursts of motivation 🤣

I just saw the “post the first lines of your book” trend going around. While I would love to share the first lines of my WIP, they come with trigger warnings and I don’t want to hurt anyone. But otherwise, such a fun trend!

Just lost my temper at my dad, his stance is that none of the things Trump is doing is actually happening because his news hasn’t reported it 🙄 His news also says the the Nazi Salute wasn’t one because the news says so. He’s not going to understand until it personally affects him, I fear.

Now that I’ve given up on TikTok my desire to create video content is just not there. I originally started my TikTok account to build a following, so when my book is ready to sell, I would have an audience. Now I just don’t care. I’ll continue writing my book, but it will be banned immediately 🤷🏻♀️

Borrowed Bookshops & Bonedust from my local library using the Libby app. It’s a fun story about an adventuring Orcish woman who discovers her love of reading after being injured on duty and meeting a rather interesting bookshop owner. I recommend it for anyone looking for a fun escape.

Ok. So I got this month’s paycheck. I will promptly be spending some of it on chicken wire, a staple gun, staples, zip ties, screws, and wood. For the next month, you can find me in the backyard trying to figure out how to make a chicken coop for as cheaply as possible.

I made the mistake of reading before bed. I stayed up too late and didn’t want to go to sleep bc I needed to read “just one more chapter.” Needless to say, 5:30 came entirely too early and all I want to do is go back to bed. But alas, I need to go to work 🙄

Despite it being the 84th day of January, I have only finished 3 books so far this year. I both feel good about that number and like I’m somehow behind. I did have to DNF a couple books, though. So that’s reading that didn’t count towards my total.

Why is it when I bring up the horrifying things Trumpty Dumpty or Tickle Me Elmo have done in the last week to republicans, they always deflect by bringing up the Obama’s or Biden? I don’t care what those people are up to, I care about what the facist Nazis are doing with my country.

Revisiting a story concept that I was playing with several years ago. It follows a newly undead knight who wants to find and kill the Lich bc he wants to die and stay dead this time. The knight is actively decaying, which makes things just a tad bit more complicated.

Having to figure out how to file a FAfSA form for the first time, used my GI bill for my other degrees. Why does it have to be this hard?! They want my 2022 tax info but I’m legally separated now, so I’m having to parse out my income and my taxes paid out of our tax return. It’s just stupid hard 😭

I find that when writing, I make more progress when doing text to speech than trying to type out my thoughts. I can tell my story without trying to think of the semantics, which is freeing. Though editing is going to suck 🤣

Staple gun - $40 Chicken wire - $55 for a 50ftx4ft roll (I’ll need at least 5 rolls). Staples -$25 for 2500 I could turn my greenhouse into a chicken yard fairly cheaply. Then the price of eggs won’t matter 🤣 probably just take me a couple weekends.

Gathering up things to take to the pawn shop today. Wedding band, silver brooch, silver ring, wooden recurve bow with leather supplies, golden roses, all things he doesn’t want and claims that they’re mine because they were all once gifts to me. Maybe I can get enough money to fill my gas tank 🤷🏻♀️

I’m half-tempted to cosplay as an evangelical woman and post videos of me just reading the New Testament, with a heavy emphasis on the red text. Just to try to open some eyes and make people think about their misplaced loyalty in a rich, facist criminal. For context, I’m a non-theistic satanist 👀

My daughter’s school takes the 6th graders on a week-long field trip to DC every year to tour the capitol. She is not going because of the current political climate. She is understandably upset by this choice, but I can’t risk her safety. Who knows what it will all be like when they go in May.

My divorce has been pending for almost 2 years. I am so tired. The man refuses to agree to even the most generous things. He hasn’t paid child support and doesn’t believe he should have to. Instead he wants alimony and child support since I filed the divorce. Back to the judge we go 🙄

Went grocery shopping with my dad. he was floored at what I got with $40. With careful planning, I have 2 weeks of groceries for my kid and I. He spent $122 for the week for him and my mom. He was convinced that I’m broke because I splurge too much on food… nope I just don’t get paid enough 🤣

Question… how much do you think a solid 14k white gold wedding band in a size 4.5 would go for? Do I pawn it or are there other places to sell gold rings to? I need this thing out of my life 🤣

Considering the state of *gestures wildly at everything*, I’m considering prepping to be more self-sufficient. Last year, we created planting beds and got a lot of strawberries, carrots, and other goodies from it. Though my corn fried in the GA sun. This year, I might do a chicken coup.

On today’s episode of dopamine chasing in a post-TikTok lifestyle, I will gather all of the random books around the house to add to my catalogue. It’s mostly cookbooks, health books, and other not fun books. But I’ve made a space for them on my bookshelf, and thus are getting catalogued 🤣

In 2015, I interviewed at Leidos for a language analyst position. A role I had been in for over 6 years in the army. I was asked at the interview “why would we hire a woman with kids when we can hire a man?” My male friends got jobs easily after separation, I had to find a new career.
