landed in the "nice terminal" at dfw and it looks like it's corporate america in the 80s compared to taoyuan airport lmao

my dad told us not to eat the hotel breakfast this morning because he was going to go line up at 6am to get breakfast from a famous taiwanese place. he's like don't worry i'll get 4 sets (we have 5 people). HE DIDNT READ WHAT COMES IN A SET AND CAME BACK WITH ENOUGH FOOD FOR 16 PEOPLE.

we normally visit my grandparents' urns at the columbariums whenever we're back in taiwan but this is the first time here during the qingming festival (holiday where you honor your ancestors) so it feels extra meaningful this time

i think my first meal when i get back home needs to be texmex or mexican food
