Finally getting around to animating Charlotte's updated model ^^ (don't mind the face textures, that's just how Blender displays them)

Things are looking a bit different than I remember! I feel like I can get around a lot nicer than I could before!! Also looks like there's a new enemy here! 😨 -🦌

One of the criticisms with KICK-BELL's demo was that the stages were too large and zoomed out. Here's a quick look at some of the updated stage design! You can complete them a lot quicker, and you have more player visibility now that they're smaller ^^ #GameDev #KICKBELL

I just found an old version of Team Slay-Bells's intro cutscene! This was never finished, and it's been completely re-worked later on, so I thought I would share it since it's not going to look like this or play out this way anymore.

Adjusting KICK-BELL levels so they don't have to be zoomed out as much, as that was one main criticism from the SAGE 2025 demo ^^ #GameDev

I want to note, that despite TEAM SLAY-BELLS pretty much starting from the ground up again asset wise, I do plan to find a way to archive the original demo build's levels as some sort of unlockable extra feature, as I plan to have a lot of dev stuff unlockable in the game's library.

So now that Charlotte has a new model... Would you all want me to post character re-design concepts for the other characters? (Including NPCs). Or do you want to wait to see when the key-art and gameplay gets updated to see how everyone is going to look?

KICK-BELL is getting delayed to 2026

Now to put my money where my mouth is 😄 I've saved a bunch of SAGE games to play! First up is KICK-BELL, a cute arcade-y title. I got stuck on this level, unfortunately. Visually very impressive and solid level design. Aiming is hard because everything's so zoomed out. But overall pretty fun!

Thank you for your feedback on KICK-BELL! I'm currently working on a camera system you can switch to in-game that changes the perspective to be closer to the players! (this will be able to be switched during game-play with the controller's shoulder buttons ^^ when it is fully implemented!)

I just completed a full world in Kick-Bell! (honestly, saving levels for last was a good idea, because now that everything is programmed outside of all of the world bosses and certain small gimmicks, I can just MAKE the levels and play them.) honestly feels surreal to be this far in.

Development history: When KICK-BELL was still a 2D arcade styled game instead of a 3D arcade styled game, the first world's main theme was completely different in a very early testing build. I decided to change the first world's theme in the current version because I felt this one was too simple.

Been seeing a lot of "How it started vs How its going" videos on indie games that people are developing ^^ I thought I would share the progress of Team Slay-Bells from how it started in 2023 vs how it currently looks and plays! ^^ remember when Charlotte looked different? #GameDev #IndieDev

might have to change Vanellope's name in Team Slay-Bells and Kick-Bell didn't know it wasn't actually a real name, and that it's apparently trademarked by Disney for Video Games, Movies, and other Product use.

Just did some multiplayer testing in Kick-Bell today! I have to say, it felt insane being able to play one of my own games for the first time with multiple people at once! It felt very rewarding ^^

I know the characters in TEAM SLAY-BELLS speak with their own dialogue sounds rather than voices, but how would you guys feel if they also spoke words and had an actual voice occasionally?
