I am obsessed with this novel

I read this one compared to Kent Haruf and it immediately went on top of the pile. It does live up to the hype!

Tonight, an opportunity arose. 5 fell asleep before 8pm. I expected it after 3 hours at the pool. I offered 7 to get back up and have a "second dinner" with me. We made a steak au poivre dish, and enjoyed a 1 on 1 moment talking about anything and everything. It was the freaking best!⚡

Every dinner, we ask our sons what was "The sun of their day". It's our way to teach them how to find joy in little things. Tonight, my youngest went to bed super early and I got a chance to play chess with my oldest (7 yo). It was amazing to see his mind at work. That was the Sun of my day.
