🍄 World Building lesson of the day: make your world moldy! I came across this awesome video which explains the importance of layered history in your game world. Easiest way to convey this history is showing decay. Do you have ancient/forgotten civilizations in your game?

Gave a workshop called "Pitching Red Flags" today to a few teams part of the @getwigi.com program! Was lovely to share my expertise, annoyances, ramblings, and insanities of the games industry with you all! What's the worst thing you've ever done while pitching? Or seen in a pitch?

📝World building lesson of the day: Escapism. Your world should be a place where the audience can escape. The deeper your world, the deeper the escapism. Shallow world building will quickly show its flimsy pillars; whereas deep foundations will have audiences explore your world for ages to come.
