My last garden moth-trap of the year produced 29 moths of 19 species. Nfg was Rusty-dot Pearl, and nfy were Sprawler, December Moth, November Moth ag, Mottled Umber, and Winter Moth. Garden list now 461, and Garden Year-list 276. My best year to date. #Teammoth

Excellent morning at Morton Bagot patch. Loads of Blackcaps and other warblers in hedgerows. Highlights were 10 k patch year-tick Tree Pipit, plus Garden Warbler, and the long-staying Garganey. Only downside was missing a Spot Fly #PWC25

A Black-tailed Godwit and calling Greenshank were the first at Morton Bagot for a couple of years, while a Whinchat was a welcome additional arrival overnight. #patchbirding

Caught this tiny moth while gardening under our enormous apple tree. I think its Brindled Apple Tip Moth Argyresthia curvella, but obsidentify says A retinella. Either would be nfg. Comments welcome. #teammoth

I caught 45 of 25 last night here in Redditch for GMS. 9 nfy and one lifer (nfg). The highlight then was the Marsh Lance, Bactra furfurana which I'm guessing wandered from Ipsley Alders NR a mile up the road. #Teammoth

Excellent GMS results here in Redditch last night. 94 moths of 33 species including 17 nfy and 2 nfg. The latter were Large Tabby and Broken-barred Carpet. Other highlights were Alder Kitten and Caloptilia robustella both first since 2020 #Teammoth

35 of 18 in garden trap this am inc 10 nfg. Highlights were Nematopogon swammerdamella (2nd for garden) and Buff-tip, Puss Moth and Grey/Dark dagger just because they look good #Teammoth
