Another great day at JO6 Thanks to everyone who came over and asked about/played the game Bastogne fell on T4 having near fallen on T1!

Bastogne JO6 preparation continues Figures painted and terrain boards nearly done We just need it to snow now!! The finished game uses Sam Mustafas Eisenhower rules and is a participation game for up to 3 players

Another Eisenhower game Mid war Russians attacking Hordes of conscripts with hordes of artillery looking to batter & encircle the Thin German line. 6.3 to Germans at end of T3 but both players agreed that the tied would have turned for Russians in later turns with arrival of their armoured corps

Bastogne table and figures starting to come together for Phalanx/JO6 in June/July Bit of work still to do but fingers crossed it all works out

Another game of Eisenhower last night This time a mid war desert action with the 8th Army assaulting a defensive line of Italian infantry and Africa corps Panzer divisions Only managed 2 runs but at that point British were 4-2 up but with the Armour mostly exhausted

New storage, between locations, but soonish I’ll be back home with a permanent games room for first time in 13 years First time the collection has been on one place for many years also Safe to say I don’t think I need a new project for a while!!

Another practice for Bastogne scenario which we’ve now decided will be this years JO6 game. It will have bespoke terrain and all the figures properly based etc. We discovered last night that we’d be playing casualty removal, motorised infantry attacking and some of the cards wrong for months!

Suffered a last turn loss as Pompey in this good Columbia Games title Haven’t played a block game in ages so it was a good reminder of how well they can depict the fog of war

In the battle in the peninsula 1809 to refresh my memory of the Blucher rules a French force of 2 small corps and a cavalry division put a larger Spanish army occupying a good defensive position to flight. But with heavy casualties and the cavalry blown their pursuit fizzled out

Me and my gaming pal started playing command and colors Napoleonics in 2011 and have only recently returned to it After Quatre Bras this week we’ve played about 20 scenarios so far As I now have the full set of expansions that means about 110 to go At current rate of play we’ll be finished by 2075!!

After many games of Brave Little Belgium I finally got to play this little gem Managed a win as Germans/soviets on T9 Chit pull mechanism adds tension and replay ability Plays quick too

Square bashing solo today saw the Germans achieve a minor victory over the BEF

Raab Blucher rules and 6mm figures from JO6 earlier this year Both games were narrow French wins and both to the final roll of the die! Due to board warping and need for space saving the game will get its final outing at recon in Pudsey in December
