Been playing Teardown multiplayer and I'm just in awe that this even exists.

So many friend-slop (endearingly) games announced that are Peak-but-worse or RV-but-worse, even directly ripping the UI too! Be *heavily* inspired by things, sure! but you gotta' make your own games! Players know when the devs aren't *players* of the genre they're making. You feel it immediately.

*sigh* there's now a Berry Bury Berry listed on Itchio. It's OBVIOUSLY malware, DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT. Stole all of the assets and descriptions from the store page. (please report it if ya' like!) Hopefully @itch.io is quick with their takedowns.

The two negative BBB reviews today: "I wish there were more prestige mechanics in the game, it's too short" and "I hate prestige mechanics in incrementals, they waste your time." Remember game devs: You literally can't win, so just do your thing.

It's interesting comparing the best sales days for Wormtown vs Berry Bury Berry. It makes sense, but Wormtown (a party game) does better on friday/saturday nights, but Berry Bury Berry is a SUNDAY game apparently?? People just wanna' shut their brain off and BERRY on the last day of their weekend.

Listen, I genuinely do understand the sentiment here and I get some people wanted BBB to be scarier, and I could have made the tone of the game more clear on the store page. 100% valid. but also: "It's a fun game, it's well made. I spent 9 hours playing it" "Do you recommend it?" "NO." lmao

Berry Bury Berry's codebase is pretty solid! ...just don't look at the player movement script. Oh and the game manager script... oh or the uh, ya know what? Just ignore what I said.

When naming characters, I hate how names always sound "fake" until you've heard them 100 times. You can even google that name, lots of *real* humans named that, and yet? nope, still sounds fake.

Look... it's gonna' sound like I'm just trying to hype my game, but I genuinely get so distracted when working on Berry Bury and end up throwing berries in that damn hole for like 15 minutes before snapping out of my fugue state.

Just pushed a patch for the Berry Bury Berry Demo, addressing some common feedback I've received, including: ⭐A rework of one of the abilities ⭐Falling into the hole only loses HALF of your held money, instead of all ⭐An added upgrade 🪱And fixing a soft-lock bug (full changelog in the discord!)
