sorry for the long wait but here is a Christmas comic I made a while back

it seems Cass made the rookie mistake of renting a broken sled. in his quest to get down the mountain after failed hunting trip Cass rented a sled from the local hare bros mountain shop not knowing he had been scammed.lets just hope he made it down the mountain safely.

sometimes old cassette tape audio evokes very strong feelings, sometimes it has the power to take you places. there is something about this song that reminds me of this picture I took on my VHS camera a few weeks ago of one of my favorite places to go walking/hiking

It seems Valentino got into a heated fight over a box of vinyl records. its 1976 and disco records are flying off the shelves. with low inventory and black Friday just around the corner Valentino must fight to get the last suppler box from his friend and business competitor, disco Daniel.

part 2. cass enters the backroom fearing the worst only to find his co worker high on full moon energy. I would like to thank 2RO for giving me some inspiration when it came to designing the clothes("warecat"). now cass must spend extra time cleaning his co worker's mess.

its a full moon tonight and cass was called to work the grave yard shift with only 2 hours of sleep.its midnight and his co worker has not responded for at least 2 hours, but cass dosen't mind he dosen't like talking to cats on a full moon.there is this sense of dread and cass's nose shows his fear.

discoverd a dx7 patch from the 80s that brought me to tears because of how nostalgic-80s- and outer space it sounds

I made this drawing fairly quickly after learning that america online is being discontinued today. context its 1985 and valentino is trying AOL for the first time, it was not a good day for him first he accidentally cut off his mustache, and his nose didn't return to normal after he fell a while ago

Its a very cloudy and hazy day in 1975 and valentino has just moved into his new store its still fairly empty and grey. due to boredom valentino takes out his radio to listen to the local sations, as expected the signal was bad this day.

I have been listening to a lot of 80s mexican music. most of the time its upbeat and they lyrics are happy but sometimes there are those songs that pull at your heat strings. And that is what I love about this period in mexican music it teaches us its ok to cry and feel sad and to express yourself.

I finnaly found one of these out in the wild. I do have to be honest this album is very common and cheap but who cares music is music(period!)

after 2 months I finally fixed my turn table audio issues. I got this turn table from a local thrift store for only 45 dollars, the output was the only issue but it was a simple fix. here is an audio test using one of my favorite songs from this year

I went to a demo derby tonight and there was a car that looked like the king(dinoco car) from cars 1.(wait a minute, ¿dose this make cars 3 canon?)

part 2. differences between cass and valentino

I made this to show the bigest diffrences valentino has from cass. I desinged valentino based on 70s fashon and charaters from that era as he is suposed to represent vinyl records.I am planing to make another character based on cd discs soon but this time I am asking for name ideas(ran out of ideas)

valentino's record shop poster. (somos el numero 1= we are number 1). I was inspired by the album cover from all of me by masayoshi takanaka.(context: valentino has this poster set near the spanish language section of his store. he has posters in different languages each with its own asthetic)

How it feels to listen to 80s mexican breakup music. luis miguel ahora te puedes marchar 1987. the song is about someone telling their ex who wants to ask for forgiveness to go away and that they are not needed aftey they just proved they are unworthy. in my opinion this makes it pretty bad ass song

I found talking In your sleep in one of those unmarked tapes and it inspired me to make this drawing. the audio quality is bad because I am pretty sure it was a radio tape recording and due to being older the quality is bad .I added some reverb to make it sound better

cass's bigest fear is being buried in broken cassette tapes. this is a common nightmare cass has of being covered in ferric tape as the one thing he dislikes is a chewed up tape. (I based this drawing on the popular saying of its raining cats and dogs but instead its cassette tapes)

I made this quick scetch(I was in a rush) of cass looking through the dollar bin which is full of unmarked boxes. valentino is tired because cass has been there for hours and its closing hour. valentino values customer service so chooses to wait till every customer is done browsing the store.

lupine records logo I was inspired by 70s and 80s fonts for this logo for the L I was inspired by the los temerarios band(the daredevils-english translation) logo from the 80s

New Character ,valentino the vinyl wolf. he is the shady owner of "lupine records" the store where cass buys his tapes. though not related people say valentino and cass look very similar. the only difference being valentino is taller,a lot older and has a mustache. he likes to overprice his records.
