The color gradient of twilight last night

The color scheme for last night’s sunset was pretty unique.

We’ve probably reached the part of this summer where our thoughts turn toward Fall, although a scene like this is still roughly two months away

Too cloudy last night and tonight for Perseid meteor shower watching, so here is my best shot from exactly one year ago when we also happened to have some aurora in our skies.

The Sturgeon moon rising above the clouds (and through the newly-arrived Canadian wildfire smoke) tonight, just a few minutes after sunset.

It took some searching, but I found a spot not covered in fog and clouds to see sunrise yesterday morning
