Rewatched a new hope and om surprised by how little Jedi Stuff(tm) there is in it. The movie waits a whole 40 minutes before Vader makes a modest demonstration of how the force can be used and altogether there's like a One agregate minute of lightsaber fighting in the whole thing

Jedi are cool and all but as impressive as the power of a few select force users is, 90% of jedi are just laser swordmen who can lift medium sized objects with their minds so I can definitely understand that one imperial officer scoffing at vader's comparison between the force and the death star
