I get your depth of feeling and sure - they could have done a lot more and sooner. But Russia is still a massive nuclear power please remember. I feel your frustration but I understand the 2022 caution.

I don't think the nuclear risk was/is zero. But even if it were as low as 5% risk - that has to be taken seriously. And the first Russian nuclear target may likely have been Ukraine - not London or Paris. Europe has at least challenged and broken Putin's 'Red Lines'. Just they have done so slowly.

I think it is more than a generational thing. There has never been a US President with anything like the temprement and personality of Trump. And we are nowhere near the end of this debacle yet.
