For session two of the Transition Year immigration workshop today, School of Sanctuary Ambassador Muhammed from Sudan joined us and spoke all about life in Sudan and its connections with Ireland.

Well done to our Senior Ladies’ Footballers who won the SETU Carlow 7s Blitz today. The girls went undefeated for the day and kicked some terrific football throughout!

Massive congratulations to our fifth year student Ciara Whelan on being appointed Vice-Captain of the Wexford Minor Camogie Team 💜💛 Ciara has shown incredible dedication to camogie throughout her five years in Loreto, and we are so proud to see her making such a strong impact at inter-county level

Congratulations to two of our Junk Kouture Transition Year groups — Clutch Couture and Global Glamour — who have qualified for the 2026 Regional Finals at The Helix on Wednesday, 11th March.

Well done to our Transition Year enterprise students who completed their interviews at the County Council offices today. Kate Bracken, Reagen Cloake, Pola Pelczynska, Lauren Finn, Tori Berry, Maya Reville, Alison Wiggins, Laura Monaghan and Lily Walsh were excellent ambassadors for our school.

Class 4.1 completed their barista training yesterday afternoon. Some coffees looked good and tasted good and others only tasted good but everyone enjoyed a worthwhile experience. Thank you Niamh for the wonderful training and experience. ☕️☕️☕️☕️

This week we say goodbye to some of our 5th year international students Jule, Emilia and Liv. Ms. Browne's 5th year English class will really miss them! They are the only students ever to have been able to convince a teacher to give them a "Tayto crisp sandwich" experience during English class!

Congratulations to Faye Carty and Sorcha Flynn in class 1.2. Faye received a certificate for diligence & for the constant kindness & compassion she shows to students who need a little extra help. Sorcha received a certificate for her hard work, positivity & participation in all lessons.

In the first year soccer match today Loreto Wexford played St Mary’s, New Ross. The girls performed well in very tough conditions but were beaten by a strong St Mary’s side. A good effort from all involved.

Today we held our annual Subject Choice Fair, giving third and fourth-year students the chance to speak with fifth and sixth-year students about senior cycle subjects in Loreto Wexford. Hearing directly from peers helped students gain clear, practical insight to support their subject choices.

Well done to the Loreto students who were members of the St. Brigid’s Blackwater minor camogie panel that won their delayed 2025 Division 1A county final last Saturday. All of the girls pictured are involved in our school camogie panels and it is great to see them achieving success with their club

Huge congratulations to our senior hockey team on a fantastic 6–0 win over St Leo’s in the Southeast Cup semi final! A hat-trick from Ruth Thompson plus goals from Anna Doyle, Jenna Delaney and Molly Quirke secured the won. The final vs Loreto Kilkenny is on the 23rd.
