My next book got pushed a week, so now it publishes on October 6. Didn’t think October could get any better

I always think about JAWS: THE REVENGE this time of year. An underrated Christmas movie. The cold open is one of my all-time favorites.

Received some good publishing news this week. Means I need to get cracking

My grandma grew up in a funeral home and my great grandpa was a mortician. He was such a kind man, and was around when I was a little kid. I only found out about the funeral home as an adult because it creeped out my dad too much to talk about. Anyways I’m writing my mortician book now.

I usually title my manuscripts knowing that the title will change, but this latest one? I think it has a good chance of sticking around.

Am I brave enough for Halloween Horror Nights? Not sure, but might find out

Highly recommend making a batch of these and then taking a drive to look at Halloween decorations

Have about 50 hair clips and tinsel in my hair. Now we’re making Halloween bracelets. 3 is a fun age

Turned in copy edits for PREMEDITATED, my second book! Feels more official but the panic won’t set in until pass pages.

The biggest favor I did myself on my sophomore book was baking the timeline into the chapter headers because it is saving me now in copy edits (I learned this the hard way before.)

First day of fall, and I’m editing my horror manuscript that I hope to send to my agents soon. Feels good.

I wrote 9,000 words today to finish a manuscript. I’ve never done that, ever, but the finale needed to be finished. Wow. Lots of work to be done, but I can’t believe this first draft is complete.

Been doing errands to get ready for my daughter’s birthday, had twenty minutes to write, felt good. Almost at 80k in my slasher project. Almost at the really fun part where everyone (okay not *everyone*) dies.

PREMEDITATED (my second book) has officially been accepted by my editors, and is already in copy edits. Always a good feeling.

First time at The Last Bookstore Studio City. Enjoyed talking to our audience of writers. Thank you to Charlotte Lillie Balogh for organizing such a fun event!
