Another Phantasy Star related mastery... this time, Phantasy Star II for the Genesis/Mega Drive. Lots of grinding in this game, and more needed for the achievements. Maps definitely needed.

I hate when you go to a restaurant's website and you can't just look at a menu. They want you to start an order. I just want to see what you have, dammit.

Another Phantasy Star down, this time the first one for the Master System. Good game. Less repetitive than PS3 and less annoying encounter rate than PSGaiden. Recommend maps for the dungeons or map your own.

Got a new electric shaver. It requires one of those USB power blocks to charge, and of course is not included. Should I use the one that came with my Zune?

Neat. Looks like it's the SCPH-5501 version based on the outputs. Seems like lots of people preserving software, nice to see someone working on making sure the hardware to run that software continues existing.

Second Phantasy Star related mastery. Easy set. Some ambiguity on the "finish game with all characters lvl 30" since some characters leave your party before the end. I just made sure everyone was 30, but that was a lot of grinding.

Phantasy Star Gaiden on the Game Gear (translated). Straight forward simple RPG well suited for the portable system. No idea how many batteries you'd have to have to beat it. Better get an AC adapter.

Arcade tokens from the National Videogame Museum in Frisco, Texas. Not only a great museum, with an amazing collection, but also a nice arcade. They give you some tokens to play with as part of your entrance fee.

Toad. Saw this toad in the parking lot this morning. Big storms last night. I moved him to the fence so he wouldn’t get smushed.

Magic Knight Rayearth (Super Famicom/SNES) was... a game. Short and simple, it might be a good one for someone just beginning to play RPGs, but someone with more experience will find it boring.

Scanned and uploaded an old TurboZoneDirect mail order catalog a few years back. Still wishing I had bought a copy of Magical Chase for $40... I did get a controller cable extension, Time Cruise, and TV Sports Football.

While not generally considered one of the top Saturn RPGs, Albert Odyssey will still put a little dent in your wallet... but then that's true of any halfway decent Saturn game.

The Dual Shock 2 controller for the Sony Playstation 2. The standard controller for one of the best selling consoles of all time, this controller is familiar to just about everyone. The design was cemented in the PS1 era and soldiered on to the PS3 with minor changes.

The Atari XEGS Joystick is essentially the same thing as the regular Atari 2600 joystick, but with a beige shell to match the Atari XE. It's just a little rarer since it came with the less popular XE system.

The Sega Dreamcast controller (and VMU) was one of the most innovative controller designs ever. The VMU's screen and controls allowed for portable mini games and could show little title screens and other info during play. Too bad the batteries didn't last long.

The WaveBird controller for the Nintendo GameCube. All the same features (except vibration) of the regular GC controller, but wireless (rf). Most previous wireless controllers used line of sight infrared, but with the Wavebird, you could play through walls! Kinda...

The TurboTouch 360 line of controllers were... odd. Made by Triax, these came out for several systems (Sega Genesis shown). Instead of a physical d-pad, they used a capacitive touch pad. While it was an interesting technology, it made them difficult to actually play with.

Another setup pic in a different apartment. This was the beginning of a climb back to being my own person. Had to move back in with my parents for a bit and this was my first place afterwards. Cool older building and the only place I've lived that had an elevator.
