Deep on batteries, grid, and Bluey.
As
@open-circuit.bsky.social
pointed out last week, batteries are capable of performing the job of a transmission upgrade. Absent market signals, this is happening (as Jupiter Power's Trimount battery outside Boston shows), but market reform is urgently needed.

How do we get data centers to play well with the grid? My advice is to look to Ireland. As a literal islanded grid, it has led the way on advanced grid tech for years. And data center share of electricity is about 20% currently and forecast by Eirgrid to exceed 30% by 2030.

Data centers can play nice with the grid if they come with battery storage. Tesla has done a good job highlighting this in their Megapack materials. What will it take for this to be more widely known?

Not sure who needs to hear this - but get an electrician to inspect your home wiring even if you are just using a level 1 charger in a normal 120V outlet

Hearing some utilities are planning some combined cycle plants... looking at you, Entergy. Here's a question: how many hours of energy storage duration can you get today at $1,600/kW?
