Today was a first for me—I did the Old Testament lesson in a Methodist Church. No mistake, asking the Pentecostal to read about prophecy and healing.

Two books anyone could read and not be surprised by what was signed into law today: “And We Are Not Saved” and “Faces at the Bottom of the Well” —both by Derrick Bell. Journey with Geneva Crenshaw to the last chapter and you will have a reasonable despair. Keep reading the next two books for hope.

There were people literally knowingly facing fines of $2000 per head to transport people to safer cities in the interior of the U.S. There were churches opening themselves (without clarity of the legal ramifications) to migrants living on property. We can do this again.

*ahem* “Woe to those who call evil ‘good’ and good ‘evil.’”

This is a significant part of why I needed to transfer to a jurisdiction that unabashedly and unquestioningly ordains all whom God calls. To hear all God’s daughters and sons prophesy.
