Sat down on the couch for a fun Saturday morning with a bowl of cereal ready to watch Peacemaker... And I'm full of cereal and depressed.

On a whim I watched the Coneheads movie, which is a cute film with loads of talented comedians giving 100% that probably would have been a hit if it had come out in the 80s. Not a masterpiece, obviously, but it doesn't deserve the critical drubbing it has and is worth the breezy 90 minutes.

Welp, I made it around the sun again. This year was overall better than last year now living fully on my own and working towards the PhD and the amazing experience in Japan. This next year may be very chaotic so I appreciate the stable time. Here's to the 48th trip around!

In my jetlagged, sleep deprived state I marvelled at how many consecutive Instagram Reels used "Bullet With Butterfly Wings" before realising I had accidentally started my music player.

I've been awake for 26 hours but I'm finally back in Canada and, of course, satisfied a 2.5 month craving. Timmies never tasted so fucking good.

So my application to apply for a scholarship to the prospective Australian university was successful! I am now allowed to apply... Wait, what?

I'm still sweating to death despite it being cool and overcast!

Disappointed in Shibuya and Shinjuku! No Phantom Thieves! No skill increasing books and DVDs! No bravery inducing burgers! No mysterious purple doors and sketchy Airsoft shops in the alley! No street fortune teller!

Today I went to Osaka Kansai Expo 2025 and I took like 150 pictures... Here's just a few.

Decision time has finally come. It's a big one... Do I move to Australia to finish my PhD.

Ugh. I keep forgetting to update my Japan trip here. After a week of work I went back to exploring in Osaka. Finally got an IC card to take transit. Went to Dontonburi, Namba and Nipponbashi's Den-Den Town! My feet hurt.
