Happy Nurses Week!! 20 years as a RN has taught me so many things and I’ve experienced so many emotions. Even during my hardest times, I still treasure being a nurse and I know it is what I’m meant to do. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to shape my nursing journey.

Happy Sunday! Back for another week: overcame some breathing troubles and mental roadblocks to get it done.

Today’s 5k is complete. It was tough as He*l and I honestly hated it at times. It’s not all kittens and rainbows every run.

I watched intently when he was elected Pope and I truly felt that he exemplified the humility of Jesus and His teachings. Praying for his soul and for his Successor.

Awaiting the start of the High School ⚾️ season…67 degrees and sunny!

It’s a new week! Due to illness, I have not run in 11 days and this kicked my a**! My 4 straight months of running 4 times each week ended, so I now begin again. Happy Sunday, Friends!

I’m curled up on my couch under blankets, cup of hot chocolate in my hand and I’m watching the cardinals sit in the pine trees and fly to and from the bird feeder.

The Lenten season begins with Ash Wednesday, which occurs on 3/5/25. I’m narrowing down what I plan to do/give up. If you are commenting with a sincere heart, the I’d love to hear suggestions on what I could/should do for Lent. Thank you!

My week off is ending. Ran 6 out of 7 days, with my third 5k for the week done just now. I prefer some rest days in there, but I work the next three days and I know I won’t run after my shifts. So, today it was. Happy Tuesday!

Oh hey, just ran my fastest five miles in over a year or more…and it felt really good during the entire run. Another week of 3-5ks and a long run complete. Happy Saturday, Friends!!

Our kids don’t have school tomorrow, so I’m watching everyone carry out their Valentine’s Day boxes today. I loved making those boxes and exchanging cards in class. It was the best to me!

I ended up with a surprise PTO day due to low census, so now, I have a week off. I’m feeling quite stressed and super emotional these days. Onto the treadmill I came and really pushed myself. Going to just take life one moment at a time and feel my way through. Happy Wednesday, Friends.

A new week begins!! Today is the final day of basketball and we will get a few weeks reprieve of games. But before baseball season officially begins, there is weightlifting, golf, dance and baseball open gyms to attend: you know, just the usual!! 🙃😝

Made the most of the kids’ two hour delay start to the school day and squeezed in my third 5k for the week.

This was a tough one. Every time I step onto my treadmill, I learn something about my body, my mind and who I am as a person. It’s a 50 minute session of introspection. Here’s to Wednesday, Friends.

Not a fan of running at the end of my day, but Nick had his 40th infusion today and I just could not drag myself out of bed to do it before we drove to his appointment. Third 5k in for the week… And he did great…he’s one tough kid.

Hair day is the best day.

Up at 5am to get this in before my day starts. ☀️

Our boys’ school is having their first ever “Max Out” week, where the kids try to lift their heaviest weight in squat, bench and deadlift. They are attempting to lift a total of 500+ lbs amongst the three areas to see if they can be members of the “500 Club”…and the excitement is PALPABLE!!!

Here’s to the last week of January!! This month feels a little “blah” to me, but I’ve made the most of it, one mile at a time. My goal remains the same this week: 4 runs (3-5ks and a 5 mile long run on Saturday). Have a beautiful Sunday, Friends!

I had requested off today in hopes of celebrating our 1st woman President. Instead, I spent all day with my best friend & her daughter celebrating our final Christmas of the season. I’ve been off social media & it’s done wonders for my head space. Hugs to those of us who are grieving this today.
