I wrote a fantasy heist novel inspired by the tarot, and now it's out on kindle RIGHT NOW!!! It follows gentleman thief Kellen the Fool, hatching a plan to steal from the King of Magicians.

I mean i get what youāre saying, but the list is literally an āof all timeā list. There are a few hundred years of novels before the 70s, and we tend to remember and preserve the best stuff that came out of those periods.

I've read a pretty, pretty, good book this time around. On this episode of One Man's Book Trash I go over Curb Your Enthusiasm The Book, and what exactly it is.

if only there was some way⦠to listen to books being read⦠But honestly I think TTRPG actual-play podcasts are kind of like the modern radio play. Certainly not the same, though.

like current world politics? usually not intentionally but subconsciously it might find its way in. Depends on how relevant politics are to the themes/plot of the story. Like if Iām writing about a king, how could i NOT explore monarchy as a system?

I feel like they're confusing "Prologue" and "Epilogue" with things like "Preface" and "Appendix." Like I feel the the latter is usually the author or another writer either writing about the book or a glossary of fantasy terms. But the former is LITERALLY part of the story.

I've finally completed it. Now you shall know EXACTLY how to read the Cosmere in the year 2026. The only REAL way to read it. There is no other way. This is how it must be done.

Yes! I also found that the high mercury concentration in fish is mostly due to industrialization. So thankfully I didn't have to worry about that too much in my pre-industrial fantasy world. š (Plus, the MC has high resistance to toxins and poisons)

Itās a lot of what abilities does X animal have and what do they taste like. This is how I learned sharks have a lot of urea inside them. So they taste a little like⦠urine.

In fantasy, itās all about the magic. Introducing something extraordinary that makes us reassess how the mundane works.

I think the people of Tarmonde would see it as a heretical creation against the teachings of the Saints, and the powers that be would want it and its creator destroyed.

Cover Art reveal! My first book, "The Magician's Rule," is coming out soon! Here's the cover, made by yours truly! Since the series is based on the tarot, I wanted to try and replicate the playing card look of the original Rider-Waite and Marseilles decks.

I love secondhand books so much! There's always going to be something surprising about them (especially if the previous owner annotated it)!
