i feel bad going 'yeah i feel like disgaea 1 is kinda lame compared to disgaea 2' when my actual opinion is 'wow this game JUST is really fun and it just has a worse item world and is missing the silly little generic characters i really like' and those two things just add up HARD

i should draw some of the disgaea classes i've been looking at trying one of the new ones (i've played 1 and 2 and wanna see how they evolved) but i keep getting upset at their class lineups and realizing how many of the 2 designs i'm attached to

i hate that it's so hard to post good looking pictures of my game because of its low-res post-processing + how colorful it's supposed to look but every screenshot of it gets compressed to hell on like every single site

these propellors i rigged up so it could do goofy magic casting animations were genius they're so good at helping communicate a sense of body language during attacks where the wings themselves can't articulate maybe i'm cracked at this enemy design thing

thank you trails in the sky very cool to make a boss fight where the gimmick is 'the boss always moves first so you start with 2 party members dead and every boss also delays your movement' like this isn't the most obnoxious thing ever invented

i keep trying fighting games and enjoying them and remembering over the course of 30 hours how vindictive and angry i get playing them and that i objectively should not be playing them for my own health and this has happened like 5 times now i gotta figure out a way to ban myself from this genre
