My first gateway into Blade Runner Blasters was this RAC Props kit that has some pewter cast parts. While drilling holes, I wrecked a piece! I 3D modeled, resin printed, and then molded the part. Let's see if I can cast a new part in (lead free) pewter!

Back in the summer of 2018, Evan & Katelyn visited our shop in Seattle and brought their custom made squirt gun! Bill and Britt helped them disguise the 3-D printed parts as old, industrial equipment and the results look so cool!

We found visors with the perfect tint for our Satisfactory helmets! The hexagon pattern was added with clear vinyl and didn't effect the vison much at all. The blower fan helped prevent the visor from fogging. Great success! #satisfactory

If there's one thing ive learned working in so many premiere timelines over the years, is use "black video" more than you think you should. Croplines, fades to black, opacity masks, etc. Keeps your sequences so much cleaner for future use, and less prone to errors.

I made a custom visor shape for Zero's Code Geass helmet! The form is a 3D print that I modeled to be slightly smaller than the helmet hole (for the plastic thickness). I tinted the visor in heated polyester fabric dye.

A few years ago, we restored a set of sleigh bells from Britt's family farm house. We had enough bells to make three door hanging sets for family presents! We used a brass wire wheel to transfer brass back onto the heated surface and it worked great!

For the metallic finish on my Mandalorian helmet, I buffed on graphite powder! I protected the finish with a gloss clear coat and then used water-mixable oil paints to add some contrast. #StarWars #TheMandalorian

When making Zero's helmet from Code Geass, I really wanted the back part to fold up just like the helmet does in the movies.

Instead of cutting out individual scales for my dragon egg, I glued on strips of scales which gave the illusion they were attached one at a time! #foamsmith

For Steven Universe's Rose Quartz sword, I decided to use vinyl decals instead of paint! To prevent the stickers from peeling off, I sealed the whole prop in a catalyzed clear coat which locked the stickers in place and gave the sword an automotive shine! #StevenUniverse
