I have a feeling that my short film won't be funded via Seed and Spark, but I'm okay with that. Nobody said crowdfunding was going to be easy. There's other routes I can take to make this happen.

Having a hard time with coming up with character names? Use a name generator or search “Boy/girl names” You never know what will make your movie shine!

#writingtop It’s best to stick with focusing on one genre for your project. Don’t be like Emilia Perez where there’s so many genres mixed together audiences can’t tell if it’s a comedy, a musical, a drama…etc. (Rom-com is ok)

When you’re working on a script, ask yourself “What is the message I want audiences to walk away with that no one has ever mentioned before?” 🤔

I’m proud of the feedback I have received on my five page short film so far. There’s still work to be done but I’ll keep working!!

It's a good idea to separate yourself from writing for a while in order to write well. I read the script & write the notes as I go. I leave generalized comments for last & take a walk before I write them. The clarity I am looking for arrives during this walk & I know my way in.
