A brief update on Skynex in #Ukraine: According to information provided by Rheinmetall CEO Papperger during today's Q3 conference call, the Skynex air defence systems supplied by Germany have now also proven themselves in the fight against Russian missiles. 1/3

A small but important update on the subject of Lynx IFVs and #Ukraine. Rheinmetall CEO Papperger announced in an interview with @loyalmagazin.bsky.social (published yesterday) that funding for production in Ukraine is still missing, and a corresponding contract has not yet been signed. 1/6

The German government has updated its fact sheet on bilateral assistance for #Ukraine and its citizens. Between the 15th of June 2025 and the 30th of September 2025, Germany spent another €2.13 billion on Ukraine aid, without including the now unknown defence expenditure. 1/4

Some very good (initial) news! The German Handelsblatt reports citing government sources that the German government is negotiating increasing funding for Ukraine assistance for 2026 by another €3 billion, bringing it to at least €11.5 or €12 billion in total. 1/5

It has been a long time, but I finally found some newly released images of a MG3 in Ukrainian service (21st Mechanized Brigade). Germany alone has officially delivered 110 of them to be used by infantry and another 158 for mounted use on Leopard MBTs, Marder IFVs and more. /117

Yesterday, I publicly stated that the deliveries were nearing completion, and today, just one day later, official confirmation has come from the Ukrainian President. The two MIM-104 Patriot fire units from Bundeswehr stocks pledged in August have been delivered to #Ukraine!

A piece of info that completely missed my attention, but will certainly be still of interest to some. Three weeks ago, Estonia's Defence Minister announced in an interview with BILD that Germany — with Estonian permission — had redirected an IRIS-T SLM fire unit intended for Estonia to Ukraine. 1/3

Reminder: The in early August 2025 announced delivery of two MIM-104 Patriot fire units from Bundeswehr stocks to #Ukraine, which have largely been financed by Denmark, Lithuania and Norway, is scheduled to be completed in the following days!

The 1st Tank Battalion of the 5th Heavy Mechanized Brigade has shared new training footage of one of their Leopard 1A5s, which has received additional reactive armour, grille protection, chain protection, an anti-drone net installation and camouflage. /116

As part of her visit to #Ukraine, the German Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Reem Alabali Radovan handed over five German-financed modern emergency rescue and canine vehicles and related equipment like a set of drones and search equipment to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

The German government has co-financed 200 portable power stations, which have been handed over to the Olena Zelenska Foundation by the UNHCR Ukraine. They are intended for foster families in Ukraine to stay warm and connected during power outages.

Thanks to donated fire fighting vehicles from the German city of Kirchheim unter Teck and the German association “Ermstal hilft”, a new volunteer fire brigade was very recently opened in the Ukrainian village of Vynohradivka in the Odesa region.

The following images show a recently conducted training exercise with a German-delivered Marder 1A3 IFV deployed with the 36th Marine Brigade. As usual in #Ukraine, the Marder 1A3 IFV has received additional grille protection, a drone cage and has a camouflage net on top. /115

The Russian military managed to destroy another decoy of an IRIS-T SLM launcher somewhere “deep behind enemy lines” in #Ukraine. There are various indicators proving that this is only a decoy. Just to mention two (see below): 1/3

The 11th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade has shared very rare images of an IRIS-T SLM reload vehicle with us (this marks the 4th time I've seen such a vehicle in Ukraine in 3 years). Vadym, who can be seen in the images, states that he mostly transports missiles at night. /114

The Russian military carried out a double-tap on rescue personnel in the Petropavlivka rural settlement (Dnipropetrovsk Oblast) killing one rescuer and wounding another one. Two firefighting vehicles — of which at least one was delivered by German partners — were also damaged.

According to Herman Smetanin, General Director of UDI, the Rheinmetall-UDI joint venture in Ukraine which carries out the repair of German-delivered vehicles like Marder 1A3 IFVs is “showing good results”. 1/2

During her visit to #Ukraine, Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Katherina Reiche pledged €30 million in additional funding for the Ukraine Energy Support Fund. Germany's contributions to this fund would then amount to around €450 million total. 1/2

The German government in cooperation with the Federal Agency for Technical Relief has financed and delivered a truck-mounted crane (2nd vehicle from the left) to the Vodokanal utility company (Zaporizhzhia Oblast) — for use in high-altitude work and to repair damage to water supply networks.

According to a statement made by the German Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius today, Canada is participating in Germany's EAAD initiative, whose goal it is to strengthen the Ukrainian Air Force in the long term. Pistorius said Canada finances IRIS-T systems for #Ukraine. 1/2

Looks like Russian forces managed to capture a fully intact German-delivered HF-1 loitering munition somewhere in a field (likely Kursk region). The location is sadly undisclosed, as well as the circumstances. One thing is certain, however: either an operating error or a faulty drone. 1/2

The 43rd Artillery Brigade has shared two new images of a PzH 2000 with a camouflage net inside a forest somewhere in #Ukraine. Germany alone has so far officially delivered 25 of these self-propelled howitzers, with an additional 19 pieces to be delivered until 2027. /113

Judging by a video released two days ago, German-delivered MK 556 assault rifles seem to have entered service with the popular 3rd Assault Brigade. A bit of history and further info about the German deliveries in the next posts. 1/5

This recently published video shows either an AQ 100 Bayonet loitering munition or an HF-1 loitering munition, of which Germany has so far officially delivered 1,950 units to #Ukraine, on its way to reportedly strike a target in the Russian village of Belaya in the Kursk Oblast. /112

In the opening remarks for todays UDCG meeting, the German Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius for the first time provided details about what military assistance Germany is going to finance for #Ukraine via their $500 million PURL package. 1/2

Funded jointly by the German government and the EU, various vehicles and equipment worth €6.5 million were handed over yesterday by @kajakallas.bsky.social to the National Police of Ukraine and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian MoD and the German MoD have signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of digitalization of the Ukrainian defence sector for 2026–2028. The agreement provides additional financial resources for key projects of the Ukrainian MoD like DELTA, Army+ and Reserve+. 1/2

As already known since the 9th of September, Rheinmetall will deliver Skyranger 35 SPAAGs mounted on the Leopard 1 chassis to #Ukraine. The contract is worth a three-digit million sum and is “paid for” by an unnamed EU country through the windfall profits from frozen Russian assets.

Very recently, two universities in Mykolaiv received each one Volkswagen Multivan from the German federal state of Lower Saxony to be able to transport students with special educational needs. At least part of the donation was most likely financed by the EU.

According to the German Embassy in Ukraine, the German government financed and carried out the handover of four armoured ambulances (for CaseEvac purposes). The medical equipment and armour originated from Germany, while the final assembly was carried out in #Ukraine. 1/2

The Air Command West has released new footage of one of the two Skynex air defence systems officially supplied by Germany to #Ukraine (at least one more should have been delivered by now), which shot down a Russian Shahed loitering munition on the 5th of October. /111

Municipal enterprises in Zaporizhzhia have received mobile lighting poles with autonomous power supply and vehicles financed by the German government in cooperation with the German Society for International Cooperation and the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief.

Emergency services of Chernihiv and the Dobryanska communities received two fire fighting vehicles, one specialised vehicle with a control centre, a passenger car and a field kitchen trailer from the German city of Segeberg.

Co-funded by the German government, the Derhachi, Rohan, Balakliia, and Staryi Saltiv territorial communities in the Kharkiv region received another batch of Volkswagen vehicles which will be used to transport humanitarian cargo, respond to emergency calls and more.

The German government has co-financed two VW minibuses which have been handed over to the city of Koriukivka (Chernihiv region) which will be used to support educational institutions and emergency operations in the city.

The 146th Repair and Restoration Regiment has released images showing the transport of a Leopard 1A5 MBT (officially 103 delivered), jointly supplied by Germany, the Netherlands, and Denmark, by an HX81 tank transporter (90 delivered), also supplied by Germany. /109
