Day 57 of going to the gym Try the elliptical she says, it’s great for you she says. I did five minutes on that machine and then retreated to my bicycle. I also worked arms which was stupid because I had PhyTher in the afternoon and now I can’t move my arms!

Day 56 of going to the gym I didn’t want to go because it’s my birthday, but I had a trainer today so I had no choice. I told her it was my birthday so NO SLED! She complied but still had my heart rate soaring. Sweating sucks!

Day 55 of going to the gym Tempted not to go today because I sweated pretty hard at physical therapy. Went from PT to the gym and walked 35 minutes on the treadmill. My heart rate actually stayed in a decent range today. Oops, forgot my meds. That’s why my heart rate is low!🤦‍♀️

Day 54 of going to the gym I walked on the treadmill for 35 minutes while watching “Grease.” I wanted to sing along but was afraid someone in a very stern voice would say, “if you can sing, you aren’t working hard enough.” So I saved my breath for……well breathing.

Day 53 of going to the gym Didn’t want to go today. Pouring rain with flash flooding happening. My husband says “hardly anyone will be there.” I went, people were there! Worked a bit but was done before my husband. Today, I’m back on my own world!

Day 52 going to the gym I actually had to prod my husband out the door to go today. He was also finished at the gym before me. Either I’m developing some good habits or my nerd brain thinks I’ve lapsed into the multiverse. That’s probs it!

Day 51 of going to the gym I had PT first, so it’s a double dose of working out extravaganza. My sweat began to sweat!

Day 50 of going to the gym The word “sled” should evoke happy and jolly thoughts of holiday and elves and presents. The trainer says let’s do the sled and I break into a sweat and my heart rate skyrockets! She is destroying my childhood memories!

Day 49 of going to the gym I had Physical Therapy first so I was already warmed up. I pull into the parking lot and ZERO spots left. Thought to myself, I worked out at PT so I don’t need this. The pull to go home was great, but I found a stupid spot and went in!! Yay me!!

Day 48 of going to the gym I feel fairly certain that the speed I’m walking on the treadmill is the speed people walk when in line at the DMV. My Apple Watch keeps asking if I’m done with my workout. No! I’m walking! See my heart rate?!!

Day 47 of going to the gym No cold pool plunge to get me going this morning, I just went. This body reconditioning takes a long time which is tough for me. ADHD has never let me stick with a long term commitment. But I’m starting to feel differences even if I don’t actually see them yet.

Day 46 of going to the gym My cardio is so bad!!!!- I hit my target heart rate walking from the parking lot. The treadmill asks me if I want to warm-up and I’m like “bitch, are you mocking me?”

Day 45 of going to the gym This week at the trainer we did HIIT (high intensity interval training) but modified and adapted for the elderly and weak. It’s what almost killed me at the beginning of September. I’m officially the slowest kid in the class that needs adaptations. #stillhatethegym

Day 45 of going to the gym I asked ChatGPT what my heart rate should be on the treadmill. Apparently I have been pushing myself to the verge of death. I am going to slow it down because after all, AI told me to.

Day 44 of going to the gym Did you know that there is a thing called a reverse lunge and it is easier on your knees? I do now! I did zero lunges today, forward, reverse, upside-down. No lunges doesn’t hurt at all!

Day 43 of going to the gym No complaints today other than the same…my knee is killing me. I iced the put heat then iced all day. I am resting it for a day. I’m working out the difference between soreness and pain. Pretty sure it’s PAIN!!!

Day 42 of going to the gym. My knee really really hurts. But I feel really good but I have to mention…Day 1 of ADHD meds and I didn’t complain about going to the gym. I even got there early and warmed up. Positive life steps towards happiness can come from different forms of enrichment!

Day 41 of going to the gym My knee really hurts!! I was also diagnosed with ADHD so tomorrow I’m going to the gym on meds, stay tuned!!

Day 40 of going to the gym Technically not “the gym” because I’m out of town. So I used the hotel “gym.” I walked on the treadmill and sweated, so I’m counting it!

Day 39 of going to the gym When the trainer says to you “good job coming today” you know you might be an underachiever. Maybe I need to do better.

Day 38 of going to the gym I tried the pool thing out again today, cold plunge still equals motivation! Now I need a pool beside my bed so I can just roll in first thing!

Day 37 of going to the gym Today I got out of bed, went in the pool, and then went to the gym. Turns out, a cold plunge before a workout can be very motivating!

Day 36 of going to the gym I worked hard and sweated hard. Yay me.

Day 35 of going to the gym After last week’s utter fail of a training session, I knew that I had to make myself get through it today. Luckily, the trainer knew that too. She was very kind and I appreciate that. I still felt nauseous afterward, but not drop on the ground wanna puke nauseous so a win!

Day 34 of going to the gym This raging voice inside my head kept saying “I don’t want to go” but outer being took control of the reins. I believe it’s called Faking it ‘til ya make it. Definitely faked it today.

Day 33 of going to the gym I walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes. I didn’t want to go, so getting there was the win!

Day 32 going to the gym It sucked! I felt faint and nauseous so I left early. Apparently you should eat before you go.🤷‍♀️

Day 31 of going to the gym I went, I biked, I hit my exercise goal for the day. I really have to set that goal higher because sometimes it’s just too easy. Going hasn’t gotten easier. Once I’m there I feel mission accomplished!

Day 30 of going to the gym I also went to the dentist today and my side by side comparison is that the dentist puts you in a chair and reclines you. At the gym, this is frowned upon.

The gym has been closed down for today and tomorrow because of water issues!! This news made me so happy today.

Day 29 of going to the gym I did squats and lunges today and now I’m a certified invalid. My knees are screaming for a wheelchair! I was told 30 days and I’d be in the groove. Honestly, it isn’t looking good at this point.

Day 26 of going to the gym My husband has returned and yet still wants to go to the gym. Having a full night of sleep and NOT having flown across the country, I came too. Didn’t wanna! I walked for 25 minutes and then quite literally chilled in the Cryolounge.

Day 25 of going to the gym My husband is out of town so I have hereby gone to the gym two days in a row without him. I am patting myself on the back because flexibility is the only thing I have over on him.

Day 24 of going to the gym..Walked on the treadmill so that I was warmed up to try some fancy new machines. I spilled my water all over the place. The recovery chair coaxed a fart out of me. Yep! I’m a beloved member at this place.🤷‍♀️

I didn’t go to the gym because I had to go to the dentist. I had a tooth pulled so same sensation!

Day 21 of going to the gym. It made me nauseous and dizzy so I quit early.

Day 20 of going to the gym- I was actually glad I went! Maybe the tides are turning….probably not. Everyone has an off day!

Day 19 of going to the gym I didn’t want to go and my husband could tell. He said I was in a “foul” mood. We went. He redeemed himself by saying he can see my progress. Turns out, flattery is a great motivator. Who knew?

Day 18 of going to the gym I tried some high techie tech machines today. Cool combo of pain and video games. Once I had brain overload and genuine muscle fatigue, I ended back at the trusty bike.

Day 17 of going to the gym I went by myself, without spouse. After a body scan yesterday and not achieving the results one would hope for, I have decided to work harder. Thus, the whining will be louder and more intense. Just a warning!

Days 14,15,16 of going to the gym I’m never gonna get used to going to a place where I walk in feeling less than and walk out feeling like I met that expectation.
