Pinna rudis a bivalvae mollusc that lives in small patches of sand in rocky bottoms and in rock crevices. In the Mediterranean sea it almost went extinct due to a virus epidemic that killed the majority of this mollusc. Fortunately it's no longer in grave danger now. 🦑 🌿

Inonotus cuticularis is found in temperate forests, it can grow all year on dead tree trunks or dead parts of live trees such as Quercus, Castanea, Ulmus, Fagus, Sambucus and Platanus 🍄📷

Syngnathus typhle rondeleti lives were seabeds are full of vegetation, usually Posidonia oceanica. It's long shaped body and color allow it to blend in perfectly making it look exactly like a Posidonia leaf 🦑 🌿

Lycoperdon echinatum A non edible mushroom that is commonly found in beech forests. In some regions it was believed to have some healing ability, this mushroom was in fact used as a natural remedy for digestive problems 🍄📷 🌿

Despite being a pretty big jellyfish the Cotylorhiza tuberculata (Mediterranean jellyfish) sing has very little or no effect on humans. It's not uncommon to se this jellyfish housing under it's bell some juvenile forms of fish species like Sara salpa and Boops boops 🐟 🦑 🌿

omphalotus illudens hidden in the grass. Apparently this mushrooms have bioluminescent lamellae that can be seen at night. 🍄📷 🌿

Something I noticed snorkeling around is that if a Serranus scriba (the striped fish) is staring at some Posidonia oceanica or under a rock, there's an high probability either a moray eel or an octopus hiding over there. 🦑
