I forgot to post last night, but for Day 10 I got standard gambits working. Now you can power up cards by combining 3 of them together.

Day 9 doesn't have a lot of visual updates. I'm setting up the Gambit system, and needed to add methods to the different types of cards I've made already.

Day 8: Some basic enemy logic implemented. It's not much but its a start. Ignore the terrible framerate on the shockwave animation.

Day 7: This took me longer than I expected, but I added functionality for cards that spawn objects/projectiles. This will be used for things like sword attacks, flamethrowers, spawning cubes, etc...

Day 6: It's another small update today, but I reworked the code on some of the cards to allow for multi-hitting attacks like Vulcan

Day 5 is a little late, but reloading the deck is implemented. Like in KH:CoM when you run out of cards in your deck, you can reload them by charging up. While you're charging you cannot move. Also the deck won't reload any cards used in a Gambit.

Day 4: So while the battles take place on a grid like Battle Network, the card system will take more from Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. The Gambit system will let you store up to three cards. The first card gains bonuses based on what elements the other two have.

Day 3: The scriptable objects helped a lot and will be super useful going forward. Might not have any animation or real feedback yet, but the card system is functional, and Gambit system will be next.

Day 2: Not a lot of time spent working on anything visual, but establishing the baseline of the card system using scriptable objects. I remember one thing that was tripping me up before is implementing the various attacks via the battle cards. Hopefully these scriptable objects will help.

I may or may not have accidentally deleted all my source files for the game project I wanted to work on this month. So I've started over and will be posting my progress daily. Day 1: I'm starting with the battle system, which is grid based like MMBN. Grid setup and and player movement are done.

Through the month of December I'm going to try to work on my gamedev projects at least once every day. I have a terrible habit of starting projects and dropping them too quickly. I want to get some of these systems fleshed out for my Battle Network/Chain of Memories inspired game.

I'm not opposed to a Fall Guys style sonic game, but it feels weird that rather than include a character creator, they put CaCs in the gacha pulls? I'm honestly confused on why they're in the game at all?

After finishing Xenogears last night I'm pretty sure it's the best game on the Playstation 1. It is absolutely a 10/10 masterpiece, and with how much happens and what happens in the game it's amazing how little people talk about it.

I finished Final Fantasy 8 today and dressed for the occasion. This game was super rad. The story I think could have been told a bit better, a lot of it feels like cool set pieces that kinda just happen in a certain order. More "and then this happened" and less "and therefore this happened."

Today is my Final Fantasy 8 Finale stream. I think I'm ready.

I got caught up vibing to the music before starting stream, but I'm playing more Final Fantasy 8 today. I'm starting to think this might be a pretty good game.

I think this Little Ladies Day top works super well for RDM.

Now that I'm 5 episodes in, I'm enjoying the Good Wife. The associate saga is petty good so far. I'm looking forward to the Partner Saga when she unlocks her new transformation, the Better Wife.

Most of my knowledge of The Good Wife comes from YouTube shorts with superimposed melodramatic music. When does the Good Wife take on the Bad Wife?

I started a "New Game +" playthrough for FF7 Rebirth and I'm honestly kinda bummed that none of the options to reset your progress reset world intel. I wanted to do the Protorelic and Queens Blood quests again, but I didn't want to start a full new save.

I made a program specifically for my Miituber model's animations. Although I should probably have focused a little more on the animations themselves.

I got a cat this weekend. Her name is Vivi.
