It was just announced on his facebookpage that Tristan Lafranchis has passed away 😞 A big loss for amateur lepidopterists in Europe, his accessible #butterfly ID-books have opened a world to a lot of us. As you can see, mine are heavily used. His legacy will surely live on. 🦋

Thanks to generous donations Corfu Butterfly Conservation has reprinted its poster - free for butterfly enthusiasts from the Capodistrias Museum Corfu and for use in school natural history education.

The Corfu Butterfly Survey is just 246 butterfly sightings short of having recorded 100,000 butterflies. We can reach this goal before the end of the year if you record any sightings of butterflies from Corfu on our website: corfubutterflyconservation.org, before 31st December 2024.
