Well, I guess I was wrong. The moon did rise. And then the sun… It’s going to be a very long day tomorrow. Nite.

So hot in my attic apt, I sit on the roof at 3 am. No blanket needed. I can’t see the constellations very well with the Sligo city lights ... but I can see the possibility of all the million of stars behind them, in a way I cannot where I live. Just the possibility of infinity in a crowded sky.

Cap Ferrat, Occupied by German soldiers in the Second World War, it’s so easy to visualize them standing in the windows or smoking outside, leaning against the faded walls, as in so many movies I saw as I child.
