figured i might as well bite the bullet and finally get rid of my spotify acc since spotify sucks and i’ve hardly used my account since middle school, and it’s certainly quite nostalgic to see what sort of music i was listening to as a depressed eggy teen around 2021.

more than anything i wish people who play games (or just people in general, frankly) could actually think critically about things and not have a blind, borderline religious devotion to nostalgia.

finished the coin operated boy mission in cyberpunk and it’s kind of unreal how fucking prophetic that whole side quest line is (at least assuming that brendan wasn’t lying and he really isn’t agi)

started playing cyberpunk a few days ago, honestly is super fun if the thing wasn’t bugged out half of the time (seriously, don’t have pictures but the first time i call my car it explodes and presumably gets flung into a loading zone because i get loaded into it clipping through an apartment).

it’s so ridiculous that people somehow convince themselves that ai “democratizes” art when you’re literally handing your expression over to a corporation. i can still hum melodies i like. i can tap them out on desks. that doesn’t go away when some rich prick gets bored and decides to cut losses.

i’ve been taking actual formal music theory lessons lately, and honestly i’ve come out of this with not only a way to keep making music when i’m not feeling inspired, but also just an appreciation for how composition can switch between “abstract, feel things out” and “build from formula” so easily

realized through tadc that glitch made (produced? i’m stupid and don’t know the difference) meta runner and that i had actually seen a bit of the first season forever ago through smg4, so i decided to watch the whole thing in one go on impulse and. i’m not okay.

would you look at that: for the low, low price of clean air and beautiful oceans and our collective sense of reality we can finally play a blatantly unethical ripoff of a game that already exists, but in the innovative new medium of slideshow with short term memory loss. ain't the future bright.

i played a little tf2 tonight and i think this is the first time i’ve encountered a casual 2fort game on a us server that not only isn’t bigoted, but is actively and brutally mocking someone for being a bigot. is this the same game? is this what nirvana feels like? have i finally achieved heaven?

ok brain….. you could either put in two minutes of effort and wrap up your college applications that are stressing you the hell out like a sensible adult…. or you could lay in bed all day and watch the cast for the amazing digital circus play a fast food sim for the 18th time…… what’ll it be

thinking back to earlier this year when i was staying at a boston hotel and i was in a real bad depression/dysphoria slump, and right before i was gonna take a hot bath i saw this ad on the tv that was selling testosterone or smth and i was just sitting there feeling so. gutted.

it‘s depressing the amount of people that say “x game is objectively bad” and if you keep asking them to explain their reasons for disliking it they either can‘t articulate it or end up just saying the game/genre didn’t land for them personally.

playing ultrakill as someone who gets rlly easily overstimulated is so weird bc i adore that game to pieces and always find it so fun to play and at the same time if i get above wave 25 in a cybergrind run i need to literally lay down for ~5 minutes to have my brain start functioning again.

i’m such a sucker for dungeon crawlers man. a few months ago i was playing night in the woods and as soon as angus installed demontower on the laptop i just played that for like a couple of days straight (like i would boot up nitw *just* to play demontower), beat it, and then stopped playing nitw.

i’ve spent so much time hearing about the deltarune RIBBIT mod and watched playthroughs of it, but i’ve honestly never just sat down and played the thing by myself (for some reason) until like a few days ago and like. holy shit it’s fucking amazing to play.

thinking back to my freshman year of hs (as one casually does) where i was walking between classes and saw a middle school classroom had put up a bulletin board of a drawing + 1 word on what the students liked best about math where this was one of the pictures (recreated to the best of my ability)

more deltarune drawings bc it has been eating away at my brain like actively. this time, the philosopher: prolly my favorite generic deltarune npcs think ever. granted i didn’t draw the actual enemy variant and instead chose one of the random mask shapes but yeah!!
