As an educator, I just have to say this. I find it not morally OK to film yourself teaching and using it to create content. Your their to teach, not make content for the internet. Even if you're not showing the kids, they are still there, man. I just dont this its proffesional or OK.

Im seeing some states looking at laws allowing parents to opt out of tech use for their kids. This one I am behind. The data is clear. Screens are bad for kids. They wreck learning. If there is something then need it fore put back in a computer lab. One to one is just bad.

School was bad because it wasn't what I wanted it to be is one of the most selfish things I hear. School isn't about you. It's about society making an investment in its people because educated citizens are better ones.

I have a real fear of getting to the point where I have unteachable students. Behavior is part of it but the main thing is they will have such poor skills at basic math and reading that they literally are incapable of doing mid to high level science.

Look, I love technology, and yes, I do use AI for a few things. However, the research is detailed for education. All tech needs to be removed and banned from schools. No laptops for every kid, no outside tech can even be brought to school. Everything back to paper and pencil.

I am a science teacher. I cant stand it when an English teacher says "We are all reading teachers." No. No I am not. I know how to read. I have never had even a little bit of training on how to teach reading. I am completely unqualified as a reading teacher.
