Madonna's new album Confessions II is absolutely outstanding. An incredibly varied dance album, full of melodic flair, quirky touches, personal lyrics, and exciting beats that are both ultra-modern and reminiscent of the 90s. I also love her little tribute to Lou Reed. Album of the year?

Their 1st lp from 1976, although it had actually been been recorded a few years earlier, with John Cale behind the controls. Indie rock before the term even existed—raw, unpolished, and brilliant. If ever there was an album that defined the word timeless, this is it. Classic. The Modern Lovers.

This is an album that speaks softly. Tessa Rose Jackson - The Lighthouse. A few months ago this Dutch-British singer released this amazing lp. Introspective dream pop, yet tinged with gloom and a slight eerie atmosphere. At times, she evokes Kate Bush recording an Americana album.
