So Mother Nature decided to dump approximately 50 cm of snow in my area this week. The city thinks it's a great idea to plow it all into the middle of the court and then remove it later. In the meantime, we're stuck with an 8ft tall snow mountain that we all have to maneuver around.

It's sausage making time again. Pork sausage and decided to try bison sausage this year. Added some brisket trimmings to the bison to give some needed fat content. Letting them dry for a couple of days before packaging and sampling.

Turkey wasn't on the menu for Xmas this year, but I couldn't go through the holiday season without some. Roasted turkey wings today. Marinated in olive oil, lemon juice, sage, oregano, and SPG for 4 hours prior. The lemon juice helps tenderize them. Almost fall off the bone. #BBQmunity

I guess they'll sell anything on Boxing Day.

Threw together a little chili today. It's time for an informal poll. Do beans belong in chili? Obviously, I prefer them in. Let's hear your opinions. #BBQmunity

Posting a not so good result. Tried doing beef cheeks for the first time today. Trimmed the silver skin off, seasoned and into the smoker for 2 hrs @ 250°. Braised in beef broth in covered pan with onion and garlic for 4 hrs after the smoke. They were not tender at all. Any advice? #BBQmunity
