Members of the Remember the Triangle Fire Coalition marched in this year’s Labor Day Parade to recognize the impact of the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire. These are bales of discarded clothing in a New Jersey warehouse run by a collection service that manages donation bins. The photo, taken last summer, shows just one row of several aisles piled high ready to be transported. Bales of new donations will be packed and stacked just as high the next day.
