There's a space he can't quite escape, where dreams and memories become a reality. Good or bad, they're all real. Monsters that guard his consciousness, looming over him, triple the size. -

No matter what he does, Clark keeps him at a distance, and Bruce can't blame him. Arms length. Is he so different? Was he that terrible? He knows he was. Bruce has always struggled with depression, and that much will never change. But he knows how to keep a bead on it now. Memories keep coming-

Waffles. That's a weird thought to wake up to, but waffles. So, Bruce goes to make some, hoping McCoy likes waffles too, since he'd be there soon. He's in the kitchen, pouring batter into a waffle iron. ( @realpunkrock.bsky.social )

There's little Bruce really knows or remembers about his childhood. So much of it was compartmentalized into little sections of his brain, only accessed by Charles or Blue, kept from him. The only time something seeps through is when he dreams, or meditates, slipping into a world he doesn't -
