I’m sorry this is a cynical first reaction but… some of us remember the 90’s & 00’s. Did they try andro, deer antler spray, or flaxseed oil before settling on olive oil?

Exactly this. It’s time for WSU fans to live in reality, not the pre-NIL / transfer portal world they wish still existed. Modern coaching change comes with huge roster turnover. Going 4-8 next year just because 8-4 hurts today is incredibly short sighted.

Unless you think WSU has the money & connections to pull off a big coaching hire, consistency & stability in the midst of PAC-12 realignment chaos is the best path. We all saw what happened at Oregon State when Smith left - would any Coug trade our 2024 for theirs? I wouldn’t.

This loss is brutal, but this didn’t ruin our CFP bid. The line was drawn last year when they shut the door on Florida State. An 11-1 WSU team without a conference title was never going to be let in. The CFP belongs to the SEC/B1G. Sorry, but it was never anything more than a fun pipe dream.
