Just heard the news that Brent Hinds of Mastodon died in a bike accident in Atlanta last night😭

Woke up very early this morning for a trip up to the mid-ohio race track. This weekend is the vintage motorcycle race and swap meet. Not really looking for any parts in particular, but if I see a good deal on some metal footpegs, I'm definitely getting them. The rubber ones are slippery!

Rode 165 miles yesterday to visit the place my ancestors settled after traveling from Northern Germany. It was a very beautiful day and a very beautiful ride!

So, last night I bought myself a Schuberth C3 pro helmet as an early Christmas present! I tried it on, and that really sealed the deal. Very comfortable and not heavy. I can't wait til it gets warm enough to try it out!

Next week I plan to trade a vulcan mean streak for a klr650. I need a bike for long distance travel, and adventuring, and I don't think the MS is that bike. It's very comfortable, but way too big. I've heard a lot of good things about the klr.
