I moved more into my backlog this week and found Cairn from @thegamebakers.com and I always knew that this game was a gem. I was struck by its demo and amazed by the full game. Enough so that I will be running through it again to see everything I missed. Make sure to check it out!

A game that I missed from Nextfest is Arcane Eats from @arcaneeats.bsky.social at its core it is deckbuilder with the theme of sling food for customers, making loads of money and defeating the critics with your high fantasy related food. I had a lot of fun and I hope you download the demo.

Lots of demos, barely anytime to play them, but I did it (I just had to take 2 days off work). I don't have enough time to sort through all the porn/AI games so i came out with 10 demos that I think people would enjoy. Some are great, some barely work. Check out my YouTube for the 30 sec reviews.

Another backlog week where I kick myself for not playing a game when it came out and that is the case for Bo and the Path of the Teal Lotus from @SquidShock Fantastic game, no notes. The ten hours it took to rolled credits just flew by. Those who haven't played this game, play it.

I WANT TO RUN TO TINY BOOKSHOP, but in this world it is borderline impossible. Tiny Bookshop from @neoludic apparently came out in 2025 and I missed it, but I am here now playing the and I think that this game is absolute gem through just the demo. I will be buying this game and I hope you will too.

I am here for cooking games and I am for sure here for Kulo Niku: Bowl Up! from @kulonikugame.bsky.social Super colorful, goofy, and relatively cheap. Making these bowls for 40 mins had me wanting noodles and meatballs. I especially like the flavor mechanics make engaging with the game more fun.

Nothing short of adoration regarding this week's game from @spellgardengames.com Thrifty Business is probably one of my most cherished cozy games this year. No one is telling me how fast/slow to go or how to manage money just me and my wife organizing stuff to sell to people.

Backlog week. I played Barrel Roll when the demo was released for Nextfest, and then I forgot about it. For a $5 roguelike "deckbuilder" it is quite fun, though there are moments of frustration. Lots of bullets and trinkets to mix and match to live the cowboy power fantasy.

I was pretty much sick the whole weekend, and so I decided to weigh in on Mixtape. The internet is stupid, and ragebait always prevails because it is the easiest way to get engagement and make money. Anyway, Mixtape is a really good video game, and I hope you experience it.

I like volleyball and I certainly liked Smash it Wild from @goblinzstudio.com A pretty good take on the roguelike genre. The game is fun, the characters are colorful and the animations are my favorite. It stumbles on occasion but it is overall a super fun experience.

The internet sucks. One side is telling me that Pragmata is a psyop or whatever for having children and the other side is telling me that I am a pedophile because there is a child in a video game. All I know is that Pragmata is a fucking fun ass video game and I implore you to play it.

Now that school is winding down, I am here to talk about more demos. I am also excited to highlight Well Dweller from @KyleThompsonDev and @TopHatStudiosEN I am positive that I will buy and play any game that the developer makes. Big fan of the Metroidvanias they put out. This is a special game.

Without a doubt in my mind, Sol Cesto from @docgeraud.bsky.social and Goblinz Studios has a shot at being in my top 5 for Game of the Year. It does everything so right, and makes it incredibly addicting. Put everything on lady Luck and buy this game I am telling you it is worth your time!

Nothing like playing a game about being a gecko destined for greatness. This week is Gecko Gods from @inresin.bsky.social and @superraregames.bsky.social I cannot recommend this game enough. Relaxing yet challenging, with great looks and great music. I advise you to check it out.

Lots of pollen means that I have no voice, so this week I decided to quickly talk about Slay the Spire 2. I have almost 10 hours in this game. @megacrit.com has updated a lot of things, HUGE quality of life stuff. This game is still probably one of the best deckbuilders I have ever played

This week is Hozy from and @hozygame.bsky.social @tinybuildgames.bsky.social a nice photo realistic cleaning game about community. A super fun cleaning that everyone can play. Freedom is key and furnishing a space is fun. #hozy #keymailer

@therat.zone you had me at cooking for wildlife. This week's demo is Creature Kitchen and what a video game it is. Very fun, no notes. The fun little mini games to cook food and the little animal hearts are what I live for. Will buy, and not a single doubt in my mind.

I am a man of frogs and cozy games where I battle them. This week is Bonnie Bear Saves Frogtime! from @bonte-avond.com & @offbrand.games A super fun, cozy game, that explores touchy subjects with care, has great characters and is ultimately a really enjoyable experience.

Played the first planet of Lana from @wishfully.bsky.social when Gamepass was worth it, and so it was to my surprise that the second game came out very recently. I decided to check out the demo for the sequel and was pleasantly surprised. Still a beautiful game.

Hidden object games tend to bore/frustrate me, but Lost & Found Co from @bitegginc.bsky.social has me wanting to play more. An absolutely beautiful hand-drawn game with absurd amounts of detail. The story is a little bit too talky at times, but it never really detracts from the joy I had playing it

To my surprise, I really enjoy hidden-object games. I am writing up on Lost & Found from @lostandfoundco.bsky.social and an early suggestion is to buy it and experience it.

Steam Nextfest is a back and I played as much as I could. Still to many games to browse through and Steam still thinks that I would much rather like to play porn games. Anyway, I listed my 9 favorite demos. It was 10, but there was a game with a little too much A. I in it, so 9 it is.

Nothing beats a cleaning game where when I clean something so well that the area explodes with colorful flora. That is Muri: Wildlands from @speldosagames.bsky.social a superbly adorable and fun cleaning game that hits the mark for me. I like the characters and I really like the water gun.

Huge fan of 3d Platformers and this week is Demon Tides from @fabraz.bsky.social a game where I took about 2 hours to learn the platforming and after that the hours flew by. Superb platforming with a bunch of side stuff to collect. Most likely my favorite game this year so far.

Still playing cozy games this week and Thrifty Business from @spellgardengames.com is up. Think Unpacking with Moonlighters store management with a side of 90s themes and you have this colorful, cozy game. When It comes out I will snap buy it.

Yeah, I like cleaning stuff, especially my Steam back log. This week I cleaned a bunch of magical objects and conversed with very very colorful characters in Wyrmhall: Brush and banter from @leafygames.bsky.social If you have a few hours and $6 then I promise you will enjoy this game.

I'm here for any kind of sports roguelike, and I am certainly here for @hangtimegame a volleyball roguelike that reminds me a lot of the flash games that I used to play wayyyy long time ago. The gameplay elements and co-op are fun enough for me to buy Hangtime! down the line.

Say what you will, Arc Raiders is fun. I've played 70 hours and have a few things to say this week. I like looting, and I like the player social interaction , but I hate the forced PvP in trios/duos. I shoot the gun, but more often than not, I am not having fun in trios/duos.

This week I played Brew from @snowleafstudios.bsky.social I had a lot of fun with it, though a little short. I enjoyed experimenting with the potions to see how overpowered I could be in a single run. The upgrades are meaningful, it looks good and I am excited for the roadmap. #Brew #keymailer

Here I thought Onikura from @TooDarkStudios was a 2D soulslike. Turns out it is a boss rush with a beautiful look and tight game play. I am stilll having a lot of fun playing the demo and I hope you try it out too. Personally, I love the parry. It is always satisfying.

I usually fall in love with deckbuilders, and play them for a ridiculous amount of time. Release a mobile version AND FORGET ABOUT IT. Anyway, I played My Card is Better Then Your Card! and I think the Early Access is already off to a great start. Great game with fantastic art.

Back on demos this week and I had a game on my demo backlog that I wanted to check out. Brew from @snowleafstudios.bsky.social is a roguelike partially about never giving up and following your dreams. The other is slamming potions down your gullet or into your gun for fun gameplay mechanics.

After being sick for a week I decided to play Consume Me from @qdork.bsky.social and what a phenomenal game it was. I was excited to play this game for a long time and I was relatively satisfied. The ending stumbled a little, but the overall tone, great humor, art and music make a great game,

Big fan of Consume Me. I should have played it earlier.

I've played so much Hades 2. I just want it to end already

I TOOK OFF WORK TO COMPILE THIS LIST AND MAKE A VIDEO. This year was great! I had lots of fun playing game and talking about them. I compiled everything into a cohesive post alongside a video of me absolutely screaming at how fun this year was games wise.

It's high time that I play Hades II, because it is a Game of the Year contender. I am here to say that it is, in fact, more Hades. Everything you liked about the first game is back in the second game with more polish. Everyone is still so hot, its crazy.

This week I went back in time and remembered that coin pushers exist. Raccoin from @raccoingame.bsky.social and @playstack.com is an interesting take on the deck building genre. The game is clever in its attempt to drip feed me dopamine, which it does very well. Superb demo.

I dug into my back log this week and played Flock from @hollowponds.bsky.social and @A_i Aside from how beautiful the game looks, I had a lot of fun just flying around and charming essentially "hot dogs with wings" to fly around with me. A fun, cozy 3-5 hour experience.

Big fan of Bloodroots so I KNOW I will be a fan of Tears of Metal from @papercultgames I never played a Dynasty Warriors before but if this is the game, with roguelike stuff in it then I AM IN. Super fun combat, wide spaces to pummel baddies and good roguelike elements make this a good one!

This week I played Slots and Daggers from @Friedemann_A and @futurefriendsgames.com It is truly a pleasant experience playing the game. exceptional look with pretty addictive gameplay that made me want to keep playing. A solid experience for the price, no doubt.

I apparently had this demo in my Steam library for a long time, so I figured I should play it. This week is Wyrmhall: Brush and banter from @leafygames.bsky.social , a game about cleaning strange artifacts for strange people. I had fun with the demo to give the full game a chance when I have time.

I played a bunch of demos this past week and I found the top 8 that I really really enjoyed. I played a volleyball game, a skate game, a climbing game, a spooky game, a platforming game and a slot machine game. I PLAYED ALL THE GAMES. Check it.

This week I shouldn't have played a game, but instead I played Last Report from @MonoPixelStudio It's a pretty good spooky game. I was so focused on just doing my job that I got spooked multiple times. The ending was a little wonky but the overall experience was great. I recommend it.

I'm not addicted to gambling but I am addicted to CloverPit. CloverPit is just one of those games that you can play anywhere and enjoy 100% of the time. It is made to be broken and that is where the most fun comes from. Everything works and the game is only $10! It's the perfect toilet game.

Sushi Ben was apparently a VR game that released onto non-VR not long ago. I had a lot of fun with the game, despite reload save on more than five occasions. The story is absurd, the manga panels and voice acting make it go over the top for. A cheap, good, cozy game.

Skate is now in the friend-slop genre, and I will die on the hill. The game is really fun so far, and it is even more fun with friends. Jump off buildings and take flight or just hang out and skate by the water. Skate is great.
