I've played so much Hades 2. I just want it to end already

I TOOK OFF WORK TO COMPILE THIS LIST AND MAKE A VIDEO. This year was great! I had lots of fun playing game and talking about them. I compiled everything into a cohesive post alongside a video of me absolutely screaming at how fun this year was games wise.

It's high time that I play Hades II, because it is a Game of the Year contender. I am here to say that it is, in fact, more Hades. Everything you liked about the first game is back in the second game with more polish. Everyone is still so hot, its crazy.

This week I went back in time and remembered that coin pushers exist. Raccoin from @raccoingame.bsky.social and @playstack.com is an interesting take on the deck building genre. The game is clever in its attempt to drip feed me dopamine, which it does very well. Superb demo.

I dug into my back log this week and played Flock from @hollowponds.bsky.social and @A_i Aside from how beautiful the game looks, I had a lot of fun just flying around and charming essentially "hot dogs with wings" to fly around with me. A fun, cozy 3-5 hour experience.

Big fan of Bloodroots so I KNOW I will be a fan of Tears of Metal from @papercultgames I never played a Dynasty Warriors before but if this is the game, with roguelike stuff in it then I AM IN. Super fun combat, wide spaces to pummel baddies and good roguelike elements make this a good one!

This week I played Slots and Daggers from @Friedemann_A and @futurefriendsgames.com It is truly a pleasant experience playing the game. exceptional look with pretty addictive gameplay that made me want to keep playing. A solid experience for the price, no doubt.

I apparently had this demo in my Steam library for a long time, so I figured I should play it. This week is Wyrmhall: Brush and banter from @leafygames.bsky.social , a game about cleaning strange artifacts for strange people. I had fun with the demo to give the full game a chance when I have time.

I played a bunch of demos this past week and I found the top 8 that I really really enjoyed. I played a volleyball game, a skate game, a climbing game, a spooky game, a platforming game and a slot machine game. I PLAYED ALL THE GAMES. Check it.

This week I shouldn't have played a game, but instead I played Last Report from @MonoPixelStudio It's a pretty good spooky game. I was so focused on just doing my job that I got spooked multiple times. The ending was a little wonky but the overall experience was great. I recommend it.

I'm not addicted to gambling but I am addicted to CloverPit. CloverPit is just one of those games that you can play anywhere and enjoy 100% of the time. It is made to be broken and that is where the most fun comes from. Everything works and the game is only $10! It's the perfect toilet game.

Sushi Ben was apparently a VR game that released onto non-VR not long ago. I had a lot of fun with the game, despite reload save on more than five occasions. The story is absurd, the manga panels and voice acting make it go over the top for. A cheap, good, cozy game.

Skate is now in the friend-slop genre, and I will die on the hill. The game is really fun so far, and it is even more fun with friends. Jump off buildings and take flight or just hang out and skate by the water. Skate is great.

Sure, I have 10 hours in Silksong and I just got to the Last Judge. I don't need to fly through video games. I like hanging out with my wife on the couch and playing the game for an hour or two every night. Anyway, I put up some of my thoughts on the game so far. It's a lot of fun.

I tried to gamble my way out of hell this week in the Clover Pit demo from @panikarcade.bsky.social and Future Friends Games. Good onboarding, an interesting premise, and the ability to take a piss and poop in the same room as the slot machine make for a really good video game.

I freed up some time from school and Silksong to play the Last Report demo from @MonoPixelStudio A horror dad game? I don't know, I was having fun filing reports and not trying to be killed by a forest monster. The demo was great and the retail game is only $5 so I will be playing it.

If you head on over to my YouTube you can hear me absolutely NAIL the Snake Eater song. Anyway, I wanted to talk about one of my favorite games ever made remaster and it does not disappoint. It is everything that I wanted. Everything except the ass cover mechanics and stupid button prompts.

I bought a new computer and have no idea what I am doing, so I talked about Celeste this week. I found it on my Itch.io library and decided to jump in and I am really glad that I did because the game is just so fantastic. Now I am on to the B-sides

School's coming up and I decided to play a demo anyway. Below Rusted Gods from @FromSouthGames is this week because I wanted to play a spooky game. Interesting game with the tube TV, Cold War era horror vibe. Though I got stuck for a moment, it was still a good demo.

The last time I was on public transportation, I was talked to by a stranger about how terrible New Jersey was and cheeseburgers. Is This Seat Taken? from ‪@potipoti.studio‬ is nothing groundbreaking, but I did derive a bunch of enjoyment in placing cute little shapes in seats. A gem puzzle game

This week I wake up in a familiar but unfamiliar submarine where I work to live. I piloted my own sub, hit walls, tried to stop sinking, died, filled a quota, and I HAVE TO DO IT ALL AGAIN THE NEXT DAY? The Oily Depths is a pretty good demo.

I prioritized cleaning my apartment over making a video on all the things that urk the shit out of me with Death Stranding 2, but here it is anyway. Its a fun game no doubt but there are a lot of things that just make the experience a little wonky.

I almost gave up this week and then I found Woodo from ‪@juliaprokhorova.bsky.social‬ and Daedalic. My wife and I are always here for puzzle games and Woodo is a gem of a puzzle game so far. Nothing short of one of my favorite demos this year. Super cute and a really enjoyable experience.

I like music games, so that's why I played Fretless from @ritual_studios this week. Music themed RPG-lite that looks, plays and sounds great. I really liked the combat overall. Other than the narrative being meh, it's a good game. #fretless #keymailer

TOO MANY DECK BUILDERS LAST WEEK, so I played a platformer for the demo this week. TEETO from @eatpantgames.com‬ was on the docket and I was pleasantly surprised about how fun it was. Good platforming mixed with fun mechanics and puzzling make for a pretty good demo.

I don't know who John August is orhow I stumbled upon Birdigo from @toboggan.work‬ Regardless, if you enjoy spelling, roguelikes, and birds, then I imagine this game is right up your alley. A simple concept with good execution makes for a good game, and I am having lots of fun with it.

This week is a demo that I randomly found and fell in love with immediately. From @danschumacher.bsky.social is Omelet You Cook . A game about making omelets for animal folk while being threatened with being "dismissed" by the principal. Just think Balatro with eggs, veggies and meat. Just go buy it

After a refreshing week of still playing video games like I didn't have a week off, I played the Shroom and Gloom demo from @teamlazerbeam.bsky.social‬ I played about 3 hours of the demo, and I am really enjoying it. Deckbuilding is fun, and the setting is great. Overall, fantastic demo.

I'll get a week off when I'm dead, apparently, maybe. Anyway, this week is Projected Dreams from @flawberrystudio.bsky.social‬ A really nice, cozy, thoughtful puzzle game that takes you down memory lane. Other than the wonky physics, Projected Dreams is a nice puzzle game that anyone can play.

This week I continued playing games though I should not have been. I was going really really fast in Haste: Broken Worlds from @landfall.se‬ Super fun roguelite.The sedond to second gameplay is perfect. Sometimes it gets really challenging but I would recommend it.

I still have demos that I need to upload and so this week is @caracalgames.bsky.social‬ game Star Overdrive. Search for a loved one on a mining planet, beating up baddies, and solving puzzles. It's got just enough to keep me engaged with the surfing and puzzles, so I recommend it.

Lots of things happened this week, and yet I was able to squeeze out a review for Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo from ‪@pockettrap.bsky.social‬ Honestly, a gem of a video game. It has good puzzles, fun combat, a debt collection/contract system, and a good narrative. Everything on my bingo card.

This week is Gecko Gods from @inresin and what a demo it was. Gecko Gods is one of those giga cozy games that lets you do the thing at your own leisure and if you want to screw about and explore and relax, you can do that. Super cool demo.

I'd give Another Crab's Treasure from @aggrocrabgames.bsky.social a 10 based solely on the butter container description. A year later and I think this game is one of the most fun modern games I have played.

This week is the Moonlighter 2 demo from @digitalsungames.com‬ Like a dumbass, I played so much of this demo that I forgot about the rest of NextFest. The first game was super dope and the updated visuals, looting and shop minigames make this demo one of my favorites.

Crypt never left my mind because the OST was so good, and this week I played Rift of the Necrodancer from ‪@braceyourselfgames.com‬ and I gotta say, the music is still just so good. I'll reinforce what everyone has said already: this is a great rhythm game and a must play.

Nextfest is back and I already have a game that I want to release. From ‪@mycard.utustudios.com‬ comes a deckbuilder that takes home the best art design. An adorable game with a deceivingly simple goal. It is super fun, and the synergies in the demo decks make me excited for things to come!

It's been A LONG TIME since I played Dead Rising and this week I played the remaster. I don't remember what I hated about the game in 2006, but I liked this game. Super goofy narrative with arcadey, visceral combat. Just a plain old fun video game.

THIS WAS MY WEEK OFF, but I saw that Kabuto Park from @dodoot.bsky.social‬ and you know I had to play it. Super cute bug collecting game with the option to defeat children in a battle of attrition, masked as a cute card game. Superb 2-3 hour experience.

Now that I've played Lorn's Lure, I kinda want to play everything @rubeki.bsky.social‬ makes. This week is the Meganaut demo. Dive into the depths of a mysterious megastructuce in search of your friend who has disappeared. It is dark and the light can trick you. Great demo.

This week is Hotel Architect from @hotelarchitect.bsky.social‬ A fun hospitality sim game that is accessible for everyone. On boarding is intuitive and efficient. Building, customizing and staffing are fun and I absolutely love the UI. My wife even wanted to play and she picked it up with ease.

This week is an anime rock rhythm adventure game from @dcellgames.com‬ Music is illegal, and you do crimes is all I needed to hear to play and thoroughly enjoy the demo. Lasted a little long, but I liked what I played. Stunning visuals and a great soundtrack.

I was sick all week and I couldn't really put more than two thoughts together so I did a quick review of Reignbreaker from @studiofizbin.bsky.social‬ For $10 it is a really fun Hades-lite. Controls are tight and it looks great.

Imagine Slay the Spire with a paper theme, and you have this week's game from Acram Digital, #inkborn. I like deck builders, and I have to say that I played the demo about 10 times before putting it down, and I think I have it downloaded. It's a super dope demo

This week is Bionic Bay from @juhanamyllys.bsky.social and Kepler Interactive. Without a doubt Bionic Bay is my favorite platformer so far this year. This game does everything right. Puzzles? Great. Platforming? Excellent. Art Design? Gorgeous. This is a MUST PLAY.

I was unaware just how big this week's demo had gotten on the internet. inKOBINI from @inkonbini.bsky.social is certainly a special game. very heart-warming and very cozy. Item stocking and customer interactions have never been more rewarding,

School is finishing up and I took some time to play Days Gone Remastered and I posted my thoughts on the game. I think adequate justice has been done. I have grown to enjoy the cringe voice acting and cut scenes. This is a remaster that no one should pass up. Very very fun.

This week's demo is Kill the Music from @nikkoguy.bsky.social I'm for any kind of rhythm game and Kill the Music is a pretty good one. I keep going back to the demo because I am having so much fun with both the gameplay and the music.
